XOLO Mobiles have rolled out Android Lollipop 5 update for XOLO Q610s quad core smartphone. This is not an OTA update (for now), Q610s users will need to download the file from XOLO’s official website and manually install it.

XOLO had rolled out Lollipop update on their XOLO One handset recently and now it is available for the Q610s. XOLO Q610s users can visit the XOLO Software update page, download the update.zip file and follow the instructions as mentioned.

Most likely your data will be intact but as a safety precaution do take a backup. The Android 5 update should also improve performance, stability and battery backup. As of now users can get their handsets updated by manually downloading and installing, but if you are not comfortable with it, better wait for the OTA update roll-out that will take some time.

  2. Post lollipop update touch is acting weird. It often starts up any application without my knowledge. Waiting for touch panel bug fix (update). Rolled back to KitKat for time being.

  3. Now confirmed. Mediatek devices also can be upgradable. But companies not providing because they want to sell more units so. But lava & xolo providing updates more faster than Motorola!
