vivo has launched the vivo T5 5G in India, adding another smartphone to its performance-focused T-series. The phone comes with a massive 7050mAh battery, a 144Hz curved AMOLED display and the new MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo processor.
The vivo T5 5G is made for users who want good battery life, smooth performance and a premium-looking display without moving into flagship smartphone pricing.

vivo T5 5G Price in India and Variants
The vivo T5 5G price in India starts at Rs 34,999 for the base model and goes up to Rs 49,999 for the top variant.
It is available in four RAM and storage configurations and comes in Royal Bronze and Silver Green colour options.

The vivo T5 5G will go on sale from September 9, 2026.

Design and Display Highlights
Despite packing a battery larger than 7000mAh, the vivo T5 5G measures just 7.9mm in thickness and weighs 199 grams.
vivo is calling it the slimmest smartphone in India with a battery capacity above 7000mAh.
On the front is a large 6.83-inch 3D curved AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate.
A 144Hz refresh rate means the screen can refresh up to 144 times every second. This helps make scrolling, animations and supported games look smoother.
The display can reach up to 2000 nits peak brightness, which should make it easier to use outdoors. It also supports HDR10+ and comes with SGS certifications for low blue light and low flicker.
At the back, vivo has used its Skyline camera module design. The Silver Green version also gets an Aurora Liquid Crystal finish that gives the phone a more distinctive appearance.
Performance: Dimensity 7500 Turbo Processor
The vivo T5 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo processor, which is built using a 4nm process.
The chipset also includes an NPU, or Neural Processing Unit. This part of the processor is designed to handle AI-related tasks such as image processing and some on-device AI features.
According to vivo, the NPU offers a 233 percent performance improvement compared to the previous generation.
The company also claims that the vivo T5 5G has crossed 1.2 million points on AnTuTu. AnTuTu is a popular benchmark used to measure the overall performance of smartphones.
For cooling, the phone gets a large vapor chamber cooling system covering more than 23,000 square millimetres. There are also 10 temperature sensors that continuously monitor heat levels.
Battery Life and 44W FlashCharge
One of the biggest attractions of the vivo T5 5G is its 7050mAh battery.
According to vivo, the battery can deliver up to 14 days of standby time, around 35 hours of local video playback and close to 8 hours of BGMI gaming on a single charge.
vivo also says the battery should retain at least 80 percent of its original capacity after 1600 charging cycles. For an average user, this could translate to around five years of usable battery life.
The phone supports 44W FlashCharge.
vivo claims it can charge from 1 percent to 44 percent in around 30 minutes.
There is also a Battery Life Extender feature. When the battery becomes critically low, the feature helps keep important functions such as calls and essential apps running for longer.
Camera Setup on the vivo T5 5G
For photography, the vivo T5 5G gets a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary camera with 4-axis OIS.
OIS, or Optical Image Stabilization, helps reduce the effect of hand movement while taking photos or recording videos. This can result in sharper images and smoother footage.
The main camera is joined by an 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 115-degree field of view.
For selfies and video calls, there is a 32MP front camera.
Both the front and rear cameras support 4K video recording.
The camera app also offers Multifocal Portrait mode with 1x, 1.5x and 2x framing options. AI Erase 2.0 can be used to remove unwanted people or objects from photos directly on the smartphone.
Software, AI Features and Durability
The vivo T5 5G runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.
vivo is promising three years of Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates for the device.
There are several AI-powered features as well, including Circle to Search 2.0, AI Transcript Assist for converting speech into text, and Ultra HD Documents for scanning and organising documents.
The phone also comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings, offering protection against dust, water splashes, rain and brief water submersion under specified testing conditions.
It has also passed MIL-STD-810H durability tests covering conditions such as drops, temperature changes and dust exposure.
This should make the vivo T5 5G better suited for everyday use, travel and unexpected weather conditions.
