VeeDee E10 review and unboxing – 7 inch single core tablet with 1GB RAM

The VeeDee E10 is a single core tablet enhanced with a 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. This 7 inch tablet comes for a price tag of under Rs. 5,500.

Inside the Box
The box pack contains the tablet, DC in power adapter, OTG cable (I got two OTG cables with this review unit – 1. USB to micro USB and 2. USB to mini usb) – however there is only a single mini USB port. There is no earphones seems like all new tablets will not come with any earphones from now on.

Design
The tab is slim there are no buttons on the front side in fact the right panel is broader and looks weird especially when there are no button present on it. The volume rockers and lock / power button are placed at their usual top side with all the ports lined up on the right side.

The three sides on the tablet have got smooth curves whereas the right is not exactly curved but slightly pointed. Check the video review to get an idea.

Inside the hood
Its the same old Allwinner A10 Via 8850 CPU clocked at 1.2 GHz with Mali 400 GPU. This comes with some enhancements like 1GB RAM and 8 gigs of storage for areound the same price as it was before with 512MB RAM and 4GB storage.

Performance
This is an ‘E’ series tab, where E stands for Efficient. VeeDee had launched the D10 tablet few months back which technically is the same but with 512MB RAM and lower capacity internal storage.

veedee e10 review

Of the 1GB RAM you get around 633 MB Free, of 1GB Storage about 726MB free and from 8GB internal storage around 5.3GB is available for the users.

This tab runs on ICS OS and the benchmark scores are as follows

  • Quadrant Benchmark = 1103.
  • AnTuTu = 2844 | 2nd test = 3144 | 3rd test = 3169.
  • Nenamark2= 28.4 fps.
  • Linpack = Single = 16 Multiple = 17.
  • Multi touch = 5 point.

Battery performance
Since its the same old tablet the battery performance will be as par as seen on the other VeeDee D10, may be with a slight improvement. It is safe to assume the tablet will last for 3 / over 3 hours on a full charge.

Veedee E10 review
This is different from the old Allwinner tablet and performance wise just a little better than the one with 512MB RAM. If you can spend few thousands extra go for the dual core version.
