Skullcandy has brought its Method 360 ANC true wireless earbuds to India, and the headline feature is Sound by Bose tuning built into a Skullcandy design. The earbuds launch with an MRP of Rs 16,999 but carry a special introductory price of Rs 12,499 for early buyers.

Skullcandy developed the Method 360 ANC in partnership with Bose, using the audio brand’s tuning, ear tips and fit fins to deliver a premium listening experience without the premium price tag.

Amlan Bhattacharjya, Founder and CEO of Brandeyes Distributors Pvt Ltd, the sole India partner for Skullcandy, said the launch price is meant to get more people to try the product, while positioning the Method 360 ANC firmly in the premium earbuds tier.

Sound by Bose: The Big Differentiator

The Method 360 ANC uses audio tuning licensed from Bose, a first for Skullcandy in this price range. The earbuds also borrow fit fins and ear gels from Bose’s technology, aimed at giving users a secure fit and better passive noise isolation to complement the active noise cancellation hardware.

The earbuds run an adjustable 4-mic hybrid Active Noise Cancelling system with a customizable Stay-Aware mode, so users can dial in exactly how much outside sound they want to let through. A Clear Voice Smart Mic is included for call quality, cutting down background noise so voices come through clearly.

Battery Life and Charging

Battery life is one of the stronger claims on the spec sheet. With ANC turned off, the Method 360 ANC delivers up to 40 hours of total playback, split as 11 hours in the earbuds and 29 hours from the charging case. With ANC turned on, that number drops to 32 hours total, made up of 9 hours in the buds and 23 hours in the case.

Rapid Charge support means a 10 minute top up in the case gets you 2 hours of playtime, useful for anyone rushing out the door.

Design and Comfort

The earbuds ship in an all new slider charging case with a built in O-ring clip, designed to hook onto a bag or belt loop. Skullcandy has also upgraded the tactile finish of the case compared to earlier Method series products.

For fit, the box includes three sizes of fit fins and three sets of ear gels, all leveraging licensed Bose technology, to help the earbuds seal properly in the ear canal and improve passive noise isolation. The design is ergonomic and ovalized rather than a standard stem shape.

Buyers can choose from five colourways: Black, Bone, Primer, Plasma, and Leopard.

Thoughts

The pitch here is straightforward: Bose tuned sound and a genuinely long battery life at a price well below what Bose’s own earbuds cost. If you want ANC earbuds that prioritize a strong bass forward sound signature and a case built for outdoor use rather than pocket sized subtlety, the Method 360 ANC is worth shortlisting at its Rs 12,499 introductory price. Buyers who prefer a neutral sound profile or a smaller case may want to compare against other options in the same price band before deciding.
