At IFA 2017, Samsung announced the new Gear Fit 2 Pro that is upgraded version of Fit 2. This fitness wearable come with Super AMOLED screen, is water resistant and also comes with swimming (training) app. Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro is priced at $199 that comes to approx Rs. 12,700.
Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro is using a dual core processor clocked at 1GHz. This fitness device comes with a 1.5 inch screen protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Now the screen is unique it’s curved and using Super AMOLED display. Screen resolution is 432 x 216.
There is 4GB of internal memory and 512MB RAM. Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro is running Tizen OS, compatible with Android and iOS platforms. Fit 2 Pro is water resistant 5 ATM. It can be used like a standalone music player.
The Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro will count your steps, calories burned, it comes with heart rate sensor to monitor your pulse rate, has built in GPS for more accurate reading and other features are Wi-Fi, Barometer and Bluetooth 4.2.
There is 200 mAh battery that as per the company gives up to 5 days of battery life with normal to moderate usage. Unique thing is it has Speedo Swimming training app, that can track your stroke type, lap time, lap count and more. Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro is priced at $199 approx Rs. 12,700. Looks good for the price.
