Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Tab 7.0 plus an upgraded tab with better features and more powerful than its predecessor the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0. If one may recall Samsung recently announced the Galaxy Tab 7.7 with Android 3.2 and now they are eager to go in for the Tab 7.0 as well.
The price tag of Samsung Galaxy tab 7.7 has not yet been disclosed but naturally the new Samsung Galaxy 7.0 Plus will be comparatively cheaper. Moreover there is no word about when the Tab 7.7 will be released, but the Tab 7.0 plus will be available by October end in Austria and Indonesia, and gradually will be rolled out worldwide.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus Features
As compared with the original Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 the Tab 7.0 plus will be far more superior. This tab will be powered by a 1.2 GHz dual core processor and will house 1 GB RAM. There will be a primary 3.0 megapixel camera and the front facing secondary camera of resolution 2 megapixels.
The Tab 7.0 plus will come loaded with Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS which already comes loaded on Galaxy Tab 10.1, Galaxy Tab 8.9 and the Galaxy Tab 7.7. The Tab 7.0 will support HSPA+ and users will be able to make voice calls without the headset.
Other features are 3G, EDGE, GPRS, GSM and built in Wi-Fi. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 plus will be available in 32 GB and 16 GB versions. The 7 inch screen will support resolution of 1024 by 600 and weigh 12.2 ounces with 0.39 inch thickness.
Samsung made a wise decision to launch the Samsung Galaxy tab 7.0 plus before the 7.7 as many would have opted for the 7.7 version; moreover by not disclosing the price of tab 7.7 the suspense is still intact. It seems the 7 inch size is what Samsung prefers and believes in, in fact the company is already working on phone tablet hybrid that will come with a smaller 5 / 4 inch screen.
