Samsung has now launched the mini version of Galaxy S3 called the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini. The mini is compact comes with dual core processor and of course will be cheaper than its big brother the Galaxy S3.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini is not just about the size but a totally different phone as compared with the S3. The screen size on S3 is 4.9 inches whereas on the S3 Mini its 4 inches Super AMOLED with 800×480 pixels resolution.  The S3 Mini looks exactly similar to the S3 but of a smaller size with a 9.85mm thickness and weight of around 111.5 grams.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 houses a quad core processor; however the S3 Mini actually comes with a dual core processor clocked at 1GHz with 1GB RAM (S3 comes with 2GB RAM). The camera megapixel has also been reduced to 5MP on the S3 Mini. There is LED flash and secondary VGA camera.

Other features loaded on S3 mini are 3G (14.4 HSDPA), 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC, 3.5mm jack  and USB. The handset comes with 8GB / 16GB internal storage versions and also supported micro SD cards.

The battery is again of a lower capacity at 1500mAh which should easily get the S3 mini rolling for over a day. The icing on the cake is the Jelly Bean OS, yes the S3 mini comes with JB.
