Samsung Galaxy Pocket is an entry level android phone powered by an 832 MHz processor and running android gingerbread OS.  This is a budget phone with some cool feature and some not so impressive but considering the price tag it is a good buy.

Samsung Galaxy Pocket features / Specifications

This handset is generously powered by an 832 MHz CPU and comes loaded with the android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS.  The touchscreen display is 2.8 inches with a lower resolution of 320 by 240 pixels. The pocket makes use of the TouchWiz user interface (the upgraded version).

The Samsung Galaxy Pocket is loaded with 3 GB internal memory (for user) along with microSD card support up to 32 GB. The handset is light weight at 97 grams and is 12 mm thick.

This handset supports 3G (HSDPA speed up to 3.6 mbps), GPRS and EDGE networks. With the android 2.3 OS you will be able to download many apps. The pre-loaded media player can play many audio and video formats.  Running Facebook, Twitter and other Social networking apps should not be a problem.

For this price you also get Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and microUSB. There is a single camera placed on the rear side of resolution 2.0 megapixels. The camera quality is disappointing plus there is no flash support. Other thing missing is a built in GPS. This handset comes with 1200 mAh battery.

But as mentioned earlier this is a budget phone and there will be some features that are a bit outdated. The Samsung Galaxy Pocket is now available in India for Rs. 8,150 6,790.
