At the IFA trade show held in Berlin, Samsung not only launched the Galaxy Note II but also announced the ATIV S phone, ATIV Tablet and Galaxy Camera. The camera runs on the latest Jelly Bean OS.

This is the next Galaxy note called the Galaxy Note II which sports a 5.5. inch Super AMOLED screen with Gorilla Glass 2. The resolution is 1280×720 pixels lower as compared with the first Galaxy Note that supports 1280×800 pixels. Other features are 8 MP rear camera with full HD recording, a front 1.9 MP camera, a bigger 3100 mAh battery and 2GB RAM.

As far as the internal storage is concerned it comes in 16, 32 and 64 GB versions based on which the price will vary. And yes it also supports MicroSD card. This Phablet is powered by a quad core processor @ 1.6GHz. The Note 2 will run on Jelly Bean OS (Android 4.1).

This smartphone will be powered by S4 Snapdragon dual core processor from Qualcomm clocked at 1.5GHz. There will be 1GB RAM, internal storage of 16 / 32 GB and a 4.8 inch screen of AMOLED HD display with Gorilla Glass 2.

This smartphone will also come with an 8MP rear and 1.9 MP front cameras. A 2300 mAh battery will get the most out of it. Samsung ATIV S is just 8.7mm thin. This phone will not run on Android OS in fact it will feature the first Windows phone 8. Yes the ATIV S is a windows powered phone (WP8).

This is a 10.1 inch device with resolution of 1366×768 pixels sailing on 1.5GHz dual core (S4) qualcomm snapdragon processor with 2GB RAM. The ATIV Tab will run on Windows RT OS which is tailored made for ARM processor based on the Windows 8 platform.

Key features are 5 MP rear and 1.9 MP front camera, 9.9 mm thick, Bluetooth 4, NFC, micro SD, USB and u-HDMI. Not to forget the Wi-Fi built in. This tap too just like the Galaxy Note 10.1 will come with a Stylus pen or S-PEN. The ATIV Tab should hit the stores in oct/nov.

Android powered cameras are becoming the latest trend. If you remember I had posted an article on the Nikon CoolPix S800c android camera, well Samsung has also announced a 16MP android powered camera called the Samsung Galaxy Camera and have taken it a bid further by loading it with the latest Jelly Bean (Android 4.1) OS.

As mentioned it is a 16 megapixel camera with 21x optical zoom. Once the JB (jelly Bean) OS is loaded the TouchWiz UX user interface takes over. This camera is powered by quad core processor and sports a 4.8 inch SLCD screen.

The camera supports 3G which means there is a SIM slot, you can insert the SIM and access 3G connectivity. SIM functionality is limited to internet access only; you cannot use this camera as a phone.

A 1600 mAh rechargeable battery will power this camera with a good backup time of about 7 hours. For more on the latest  gadgets – stay tuned.
