Realme launched the 2 Pro in India and here is the review of the Realme 2 Pro. This handset is powered by Snapdragon 660 AIE octa core processor and unique thing is the dewdrop full screen with 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
Inside the box you will get the handset, user manual, warranty card, silicon case, travel charger 5V/2A, SIM ejector pin and data cable USB to micro USB. The handset that I used for the review is packed with 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM.
Realme 2 Pro Design
Realme 2 Pro will be available in Black Sea, Blue Ocean and ICE Lake color options. The Blue Ocean variant that I used looks cool. There is glass type finishing on the back that add a darker shade, if you have seen the Red Realme 1 the finishing is the same.
Handset is comfortable to hold and use, curvy design and looks pretty premium and unique thanks to the dewdrop style screen – check video review.

Camera Performance
The rear camera as well as the front camera can shoot in portrait mode, plus there are a lot of options, stickers, light effects – do check the video review for the samples, or you can also check the samples below.
Camera quality is excellent. Low light shots are pretty good in auto mode, but even much, much better in manual mode.

Battery performance
It took me about 2 hours for a full charge and on a full charge you will get one to one and a half days of battery life based on your usage pattern.
Verdict
Realme 2 Pro is another perfect handset launched by the company. It performs in every category be it quality, performance, camera and battery. An excellent buy, not sure how the Ice Lake color variant will look but the Blue Ocean looks awesome.

Hi Gogibhai,
Approx how much free ram on startup is there…planing to buy 4GB variant, will it be enough?
Hi Gogi,
I have been putting off my new phone purchase for months now, since the Oppo F9 was launched. Soon after the Poco F1 was launched, and then came the Vivo V11 pro, and now the Realme 2 Pro. For each launch, I have been waiting for your review, as I feel you’re the most unbiased.
1. Which of these phones do you think will be the best bet for a 2 year upgrade cycle? I last bought a phone in 2016, it was the Mi Max with 3GB/32GB/Snapdragon 650. My price choice for the upgrade is the Pocofone F1 128GB, which gives 6GB RAM and 128GB, which I feel should last me long enough. AFAIK, the Poco comes with fast UFS storage. I did look at the 64GB model, but getting an extra 64GB for only Rs. 3000 more seems like the best value. The fastest microSD cards can go only upto 160MB/s read and 60MB/s write, while UFS can easily reach 500-800MB/s write and 150-200MB/s write. And the fastest SD cards cost about Rs. 3000 for 64GB.
Then there’s the Snapdragon 845 vs 660 or Mediatek P60. You’re getting more than twice the benchmark scores on the 845, for a lower price. Vivo V11 Pro, V11, and the Oppo F9 pro all have 6GB/64GB and cost more than the 6/64 Poco F1 at 21K.
But now, there’s the Realme 2 Pro that upsets the cart, which has 8GB/128GB and Snapdragon 660 for 18K, which is 3K less than the cheapest POCO, and has UFS storage for the 8/128 model only.
So, do you think it’s worth it to go for the POCO for 3K or 6K more compared to the Realme 2 Pro? Please post a video or an article on this.
2. Can the mid-range Snapdragon 660 and the Mediatek P60 actually make use of the 8GB RAM in the Realme 2 Pro? Can it even use the 6GB efficiently? I am asking because I have an Infinix Note with a Mediatek 6737 (I think) chipset and 3GB RAM, and it isn’t really snappy. Does flagship amounts of RAM make a difference when the processor is mid-range? So many brands have been doing this of late, like Samsung with the Snapdragon 425 on the Galaxy J6+ and 4GB RAM. Since adding RAM is cheaper than adding a faster processor, Please post an article or video on this trend as well, preferably with a speed test comparison to properly illustrate. This would be helpful while making the right decision.
Keep up the good work Gogi!!!
What was your Final Take.. I’m also confused between two.

still irrespective of notch,
Redmi note 5 pro is an excellent all-rounder
versatile phone in sub 15k.
3500 mah juice is bit let down in realme 2 pro.
Back cam is excellent and superb but
selfie cam is not upto the mark.
samples are washed out.
white balance is not properly optimised,
may be it will be fixed with software update.
Sir could you please compare imx363 with im398 low light performance? I mean poco f1 versus realme 2 pro? You seem to be a man knowing what he does unlike other specification vocalists out there.
Nice phone for the price.
@Gogi – I used to love that you were giving benchmarks in text for quick reference. Especially no other reviewer does the read/write speeds of the device and use to read up all your review just to get that information. Its been missing lately from your review. Can you please add them to the text if you still do storage speed tests. Thank you.

#Realme2Pro Is Superb,At Just 14K It Can Change The Mid Range Changer For Sure.
Hats Off #RealMe

Does it have second space, video calling from dialer(for jio) and auto call recording.
No native video call support for that take xiaomi phone.
I am using Realme 1. It has native video calling support. So obviously Realme 2 pro will have it too.
Not sure about auto call recording, but seems like other things are not there!!
#Ravi, #Deoraj Arya,
All these features are there in this phone. Not sure if they switch to some other OS from ColorOS!!

Good review Gogi ji!! Does this one have LED notification? Is the ringer is loud enough while receiving call in a busy place?
I think there are many followers like me who don’t know Hindi. Is it a good suggestion to do video review in English or at least subtitles?
It doesn’t have led notifications!!!
Realme c1 is also good .
A good budget phone.
Does it have slow Mo video . If yes then.. what FPS?
There was no slow mo option but can be added.
There is a review on YouTube showing 120fps@1080p and 240fps@720p.. is it real?.. how it can be added as you suggested?
What is the SAR value
So redmi note 5 pro is finally beaten which I have bought 2 months ago.
You are getting the realme review units now , good √
There is a competition to xiaomi and better options for price conscious Indian consumers, very good √√
There is even realme c1 (stripped down version of realme 2) at 6999 , very very good √√√
Sir, how is the display? I mean they have mentioned dew drop display. Is there fast charging ?
Pl.tell me wheatear 8GB/128GB is most value for money in its price range.
