Pepsi the well known food and beverage company has made its way into the Mobile segment and as of now everything is official about it. The company has officially unveiled the Pepsi P1 and the Pepsi P1s smartphones.

The P1 and the P1s come packed with similar specifications and the only difference is that the P1s supports China Unicom FDD-LTE. Pepsi P1s and P1 both houses the MediaTek MT6592 1.7GHz octa core processor coupled with Mali 450 GPU.

This smartphone comes with dual SIM slots (SIM+Hybrid SIM) sporting a 5.5 inch 2.5D curved screen and supporting 1920 x 1080p resolution. Dido OS 6.1 (based on Android 5.1) runs out of the box with 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and micro SD card support (via hybrid slot).

Pepsi P1 and P1s

Weight is 158 grams with battery and thickness is 7.7mm. A 13MP camera is packed on the rear with flash support and a 5MP camera is on the front. Key features are 4G LTE, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth, Touch ID based finger print scanner on the back and WiFi. A 3000 mAh non-removable battery powers up this handset.

This Pepsi Phone was available (crowd funding campaign) for RMB 499 (approx ₹5K) (limited stock – already sold out), and the next 1000 units will be sold for RMB 699 (approx ₹7200) and later on for RMB 1299 (approx ₹13,400).
