OnePlus has indeed maintained the Flagship killer reputation, they never failed to impress, never settled. The OnePlus 6 is the latest offering, looks awesome with the Notch style display and is power packed too. So should you Settle for this one? find out.

This OnePlus 6 is a mid premium smartphone that comes with a decent price tag. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa core processor and using dual camera setup on the back. The OP6 looks great, feels great and gives you a different immersive experience, thanks to the 19:9 aspect ratio screen with Notch.

I have been using the handset for few days, loved the feel and hold, the 6.28″ screen looks big, but really does not take the extra space, i.e. OP6 is comfortable to hold and use. I got the Mirror Black for review, though it looks awesome it is kind of slippery.

Camera is excellent and does capture amazing shots, do check the OnePlus 6 Review in details below.

OnePlus 6 Performance

CPU :  Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa core, 10nm, 2.8GHz
GPU :  Adreno 630 GPU
Heating : Medium
Max Battery Temperature : 36 degrees / 39 degrees when playing PUBG

Smooth performance, no lags, heats up but max battery temp was under 40 degrees, for the PUBG game the battery temperature rose to 39 degrees otherwise for other games it was around 35 degrees.

OnePlus 6 Benchmark

Antutu Benchmark of OP6 : 264361 / 106884
NenaMark3 :  59.7fps (4-3)
Multi Touch : 10 points
Disk Speed :  664 MB/s read  and 231 MB/s write

OnePlus 6 Gaming Review

Powerful hardware, looking at the Benchmark score it can take anything. I played Asphalt 8 and it was great, the next game I played was PUBG, now this game needs a good net connection and it automatically set the graphic to high.

The only issue when playing high end game is when your palm begins to sweat, that has an impact on the screen touch, pretty normal though just wipe the palm and the screen with tissue paper.

OnePlus 6 Camera  Review

Rear Camera : 16MP (SONY IMX 519) + 20MP (SONY IMX 376K), both with f/1.7 aperture and supports OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization)
Front Camera : 16MP does not support Bokeh mode for now may get via OTA update, f/2.0, fixed focus
Video Recording : 4K @ 60fps, FHD slow motion at 240fps and 720p slow motion at 480fps.

OnePlus 6 dual cameras on the back

Camera quality is excellent. The portrait mode does a really good job, just about perfect, edge detection is great, natural colors and the bokeh effects are not over done. Plus when using Bokeh mode there are 3 options – circle, heart and star you can use these to create that kind of bokeh in the background – works great in certain situations.

Front camera is also impressive, however there is no bokeh mode for now, may be the company might add this feature via OTA update, pretty soon. OP6 can shoot 4K videos at 60fps and slow motion videos too.

Do check the video samples in the video review (in Hindi).

Camera Rating : 4.7 out of 5

Other features

Sound quality is pretty good, loud and clear. Call quality is also pretty good. Dual VoLTE is supported that is an added advantage. Finger print sensor on the back is dam fast  and accurate and so is the face unlock, almost instant.

There is Ambient display feature that you can use to auto show up the time, date, battery levels and other details when you simply pick up the phone.

OnePlus 6  Battery Review

Battery capacity : 3300 mAh (Non-removable)
Charging Time : about 1 hours 20 minutes or so  using the charger provided (5V/4A)
Battery Life : 4 to 7 hours non-stop (moderate to heavy) – via my standard testing procedure that I follow on every handset.
Daily usage battery life : One day battery life, or little more depending on your usage

OP6 Battery Test Results

Battery Temp at idle : 27 degrees
Running Benchmark app :
 13 minutes / 5% / 36 degrees
Asphalt 8  game play : 13 minutes / 3% / 34 degrees
4K video playback with full brightness (WiFi /4G on) :  18 minutes / 4% / 36 degrees

Verdict

So this is the OnePlus 6 review, pretty impressive, you might want to settle with this one. Looks good, feels good, powerful hardware, decent battery, amazing fast dash charge that can give a full day battery juice with just 30 minutes of charge.

There are people who complain about no support for wireless charging, the same people would have complained about slow wireless charging (compared to Dash) had OnePlus added wireless charging, that is the reason why wireless charging was not added.

Rating : 4.8  out of 5

  3. Gogi ager red pipe wala pic dekhe usmain yellow pipe wala part bhi blur kar dia hai edges direction sahi nahi hai portrait main apko kya lagta hai ye normal hai ?

    1. The edge detection in oneplus devices are not that great I have clicked some Portrait shots using 5T…. And they were just rubbish to be honest…. I do find my friend’s RN5 pro camera to be doing better job for the price he paid…..

  4. Gogi bro maine suna hai k pixel 2 ka portrait mood op6 se better hai. Gogi ek review pixel 2 vs op6 k camera ka karie

    1. Have still not got the review unit, I will try for next sale on 1st if I get it okay otherwise forget it.

      1. RealMe 1, 3gb/32gb model is the bang of bucks and its true value for Money phone. I think there is no better phone at this price if we compare overall performance and specs. First time Oppo has done wonderful job and I am surprised how they manage to sell this phone at 8999/-.

        1. In today’s technology LED notification is very important fo missed calls and SMS’s, everytime we cannot open the lock and see if any new SMS is there or any call is missed, without this how do you feel there is no better phone than this.

          1. There you go buddy, one or two features missing in a product which still us full of other features and people like you start saying this is not a good product. There is not a single phone on this planet earth which has everything that everyone wants. And when some phones do give plenty of features, people like you would still want more, there will be some things left or missing. Go get what you want and which product suffices your needs and stop saying this product is not good or that product is bad just because it misses features you want.

          2. Dear Karan,

Did I said the product is bad?. If you can’t understand sentence properly please stop replying, I am only highlighting the common and very important features missing in this phone and also explained why these features is important.

You mentioned plenty of features, can you please tell me what are those plenty of features, I believe you are responding with over enthusiasm. If you like this phone well and good, but don’t discourage others by saying what you speak is correct.

          3. Srini it is you who are discouraging others by saying that this phone is missing important feature, not me. How do you feel this phone is not better than any other phone?

And pls read once again what my point is. This phone is the best bang for buck ever in this price point and you are the one whining about missing things here. You must be a fool or a total noob not to see what great things this phone offers that too at a budget price point.

And I say again, go get the phone you like and stop discouraging others by saying what you shit speak is correct.

          4. Srini it is actually you are the one who is actually discouraging others fron buying realme. Led notifications is not at all a must have feature for plenty. It will only give notification but you actually have to unlock phone for seeing what notification you got. Still if you want it, be a smart person and search chrome or google store, there are plenty of apps for off screen notifications.

          5. Dear Karan,

Don’t be childish and don’t use rubbish words. Money can be taken back but words cannot be taken back, if you don’t understand my message I will not loose anything in life. Do you know my age and experience, I am 45 years old man and have plenty of experience in mobiles.

You never tried to understand what I said, my point is simple. How to manage notifications in this phone and not telling good or bad about this phone, if you don’t believe this phone is still in my cart thought of replacing current RN4.

          6. Dear Amole,
I am repeating again I am not discouraging anybody for buying realme and why someone should believe me to not to buy any phone, I am just an ordinary man like you analyzing mobiles. Yes I too agree you need to unlock phone to see SMS, but if we receive any SMS or unnoticed calls we will not know until we unlock the screen, if notification is there we can instantly know there is an SMS or missed call. Anyway thanks for your tip of apps for notifications.

          7. Srini you are 45 years old then you are not only the senior person here. I am 46 years old, and I have probably used more mobiles than your age. So take my word coz I am senior to you in case of age and experience too, and stop talking bullshit.

See even amole is saying exactly same thing. You discouraged other, you asked how this phone is better than others, because just one feature missing, while the fact is there is no better phone at this price point.

          8. One Plus 6 lacks the camera clarity and the battery life.. its okay but for this price we expect more. not the best option. Go for samsung s9.

  5. Gogi ager red pipe wala pic dekhe usmain yellow pipe wala part bhi blur kar dia hai edges direction sahi nahi hai portrait main apko kya lagta hai ye normal hai ?

  7. In video review, looks like focus hunting issue is present. Otherwise, good enough camera for the price. Battery life is average from many reviews.

  8. Im not a heavy gamer, but i love take pictures,. I WANT A PHONE BELOW 8000, WHICH ONE WILL BE BETTER?

    1. All will be average cameras in that price. Better to add 1k more and get Realme 1.

    1. Will do after few days, this is to avoid my sample photos being used on other sites, and specially on Amazon by some reviewer – had experienced that before.

        1. Adding on side they can crop and adding in middle will make no sense, also I really don’t want to touch the original, would prefer upload as is.

          1. Like they have the claphoard in shooting movies, why don’t you hang a board while taking each shot listing the phone name, date and your website.
This way no one will be able to use on other sites
