The Nubia Z17 Mini has been launched in India, it is another handset available in the market that comes with dual cameras on the back. This handset is priced at Rs. 19,999 is it worth the price, read this review and watch the video review to know.

Overall performance of Nubia Z17 Mini was pretty good, processing was smooth and hardware hardly heated up. It can play high end games. Z17 Mini comes with dual SIM slots – it is a hybrid slot and you can use Reliance Jio SIM on this handset with VoLTE support.

There is finger print sensor and all necessary sensors. Battery life is decent and as far as the camera performance is concerned it is above average. Portrait mode that makes use of dual cameras was not really that great, however there are many professional modes that users can use with ease.

Nubia Z17 Mini Gaming Review

I tried Asphalt 8 in high visual quality mode and it worked great, smooth, no issues. This handset can play high end games.

Nubia Z17 Mini Camera  Review

Rear Camera : 13MP RGB IMX258 + 13MP Monochrome IMX258, f/2.2, sapphire glass protection, NeoVision 6.0
Front Camera : 16MP Fixed wide angle, f/2.0
Video Recording : Max 4K resolution

The camera quality is above average. I was expecting really good output from the dual camera module. There is portrait mode that makes use of dual camera setup and shoots with bokeh effects, it looks good but on a close look you can see the edges of the subject in focus blurring with the background, it is not that sharp and that to some extent spoils the shot.

Overall over camera is above average, night shoots were good, even the selfie. If you use manual mode you can capture some really great excellent shots. This handset can shoot 4K videos.

Camera Rating : 4.1 out of 5

The Nubia Z17 Mini is a good handset, good performance, above average camera and battery life is pretty decent. Dual camera portrait mode was not that happening. Now this handset is priced at Rs. 19,999 would have been great if it was priced at under Rs. 15K.

  1. Please publish one review of image quality comparing with other dual cameras smartphone or nubia z11 mini s.. means people should know how good/bad it is in camera department..

    1. There are few reviews in youtube comparing Z11 mini s cam with Z17 mini and Z11 mini S is the better one.

  2. Dear Gogi,
yours all photos are taking in landscape .

so , in the camera options it’s says portrait mode. so please take some photos in portrait angle. photos are very good in portrait angle i mean vertical shape. and add some samples of vertical shape photos.

    1. When you select portrait mode there is no option to choose 16:9 or 4:3, it is set by default.

  3. RIP Nubia
    Not having much resale value…
Spending 20k is not at all wise decision.

  4. I have LeEco 2 which is same as this processor. Why should I pay 7k more for just camera and 1 gb extra ram

      1. Why is le eco garbage when these are both Chinese. N2 is not even coming with nougat out of the box.

        1. Nougat features are already there in nubia UI like split screen etc. There is nothing special in nougat. BTW I agree that LeEco is garbage. Third class phone with very bad UI, It can also be used as Iron box.

          1. I m planning to buy honor 8 pro.btw my current le eco handles anything I throw at it… No problems till now and it’s been almost. a year

      2. Nubia is ZTE sub brand …not having good reputation.
That’s why they had need to change the name.

  5. Coolpad cool1 at less at less than 13k is a far better option. Same hardware, similar features.

    1. Memory is not expandable and cam is lower res in front. Apart from that there is no Dolby support in Coolpad and the number of modes available in Nubia is more than Coolpad. Apart from that, Nubia looks way more premium than Cool1 which has ugly side bezels.

      1. You got that bezel and ugly part right 😀 I wish Coolpad would make classy phones

  6. Gogi, camera quality is above average for dual cam bt nubia z11 mini S is having single 23mp. even that camera quality is above average? pls confirm..

      1. Image quality of Z11 Mini S is much better than that of MotoG5 Plus due to sharpness and various useful modes.
But video recording is much better in Moto G5 Plus bcoz of Video Stabilization.

  7. Unless Nubia prices this at 15k, not much hope of sales at the price of 20k. Phone might be good but still not worth 20k.
