Nokia has unveiled a couple of new low cost handsets namely the Nokia 110, 111, 112 and 113. These handsets run on the S40 OS, loaded with simple features and their mail goal is to provide an excellent standby and talktime.

All of the mentioned Nokia handsets come with almost similar specifications, with some slight variations. These are good looking phone for those who want a good option at an affordable price.

All of these handsets are powered by the S40 OS and come with Nokia Browser which is faster and saves bandwidth (up to 90%). The display screen is typical 1.8 inch – non touchscreen. Other features like FM radio, Bluetooth and Camera are also present.

Nokia 111 single SIM

Display screen is 1.8 inches supporting 128 by 160 pixels resolution. There is a VGA camera, 64 MB memory with microSD support up to 32 GB. Other features are Bluetooth, 3.5 mm jack, pre-loaded games, SNS enabled and Audio / Video recorder.

The handset is 14.8 mm thin and weighs 77 grams. The 800 mAh (BL-5CB) standard Li-ion battery gives a standby time of about a month and talktime of 7 to 8 hours.

Expected price under Rs. 2,500.

Low cost Nokia 110,  111, 112, 113

Nokia 110 Single SIM

This handset sports a 1.8 inch screen with resolution of 128 by 160, thickness of 14.8 mm and 80 grams in Wight. This handset too runs on the Nokia S40 OS with FOTA (Firmware over the air). Other features are GPRS/EDGE supported, Nokia Messaging 2.0, FM radio with recording, Bluetooth, 64 MB internal memory and microSD card support up to 32 GB.

There is a VGA camera of 0.3 MP resolution with 4 X zoom. Images are saved in JPEG format and you can also record videos.

The BL-5C 1020 mAh battery that the 110 houses gives an approximate talktime of about 10 hours and standby time of about 24 days. Music playback is about 27 hours and video can be played for almost 10 hours.

Expected price under Rs. 2,800.

Nokia 112 and 113

The 112 is a dual SIM phone with 1.8 inch screen supporting 128 by 160 pixels resolution with 86 grams weight. The handset is SNS ready and supports EDGE network. Other features are Bluetooth, FM radio with recording, 0.3 MP camera, Nokia chat and multi format media player.

The 112 comes with a hotspot SIM slot which can be used to change SIM’s without the need to switch off the phone. The BL-6C Li-ion battery of 1400 mAh gives a talktime of about 14 hours and a standby time of about a month.

The 113 comes with the same specifications except that it is a Single SIM handset.

Expected price under Rs. 3000, the 113 will be a bit cheaper than Nokia 112.
