  1. They should’ve included atleast an SD625 (even if it’s old) in the Moto G6 instead of SD450 which is not apt for this price range. You look at Redmi Y2 which has included an SD 625 at much lower price.

  3. Asus zenphone max pro m1 is ideal choice bcoz it have stock android, bigger battery, three slots for memory and sim cards, providing major OS updates, reasonable priced. I”ll prefer asus.

  4. Asus zenphone max pro m1 is ideal choice bcoz it is stock android, bigger battery, three slots for memory and sim cards, providing two major OS updates, reasonable priced. I”ll prefer asus.

  5. There are two issues with this phone.
Firstly, the processor. Indiana are accustomed to get Snapdragon 6xx series at this price.
Secondly, the update plans are not impressive both regarding monthly security updates and major Android updates.

I hope loyal Moto fans will boycott this phone to teach Lenovo a lesson.

PS. On a positive note, this phone does include a compass unlike last year’s model.

    1. Lenovo is killing Motorola brand. Today Lenovo launched very good handsets like Z5 and K5 Note 2018 at killer price. Z5 at approx 14000 6gb Ram 64 GB Rom and K5 Note at 8500 and 10500 with 3+32gb and 4+64gb versions 18:9 display 6″ HD+ 720 * 1440 and Z5 with 6.25″ Full HD+ Notch style display. Z5 with Snapdragon 636 and K5 Note with Snapdragon 450.

      1. If Lenovo launched these handsets in India they will give very tough time to Xiaomi and Honor.

  9. Hi Gogi.
I saw a mobile named Homtom s99 with 6200mah battery, dual rear camera setup,5.5″ fhd, 18:9 ratio screen for some 8000 bucks on gearbest. It’s showing ship via registered air mail Netherlands with 15-28 business days delivery. Will it be safe?

    1. Don’t ever buy Doogee , Homtom , vkworld, blackview etc phone. They are of very bad quality just like MMX ,lava, Intel. Don’t get trapped by 6000mah battery & dual camera.

  10. i think 2 things are missing from MOTO G6 handset: one thing is bigger battery and other is Snapdragon 636 or Snapdragon 660..

  11. Now a days, almost all are 18:9/19:9 and greater then 6″ displays!!
Just include Dual VoLTE, >4000mah battery and if possible, dual cam to your specs list of the device with a good processor.

  12. Realme 1 beats this crap. Long live Oppo. Realme 1 is the grandfather of all mid range phones in India.

    1. Even Infinix Hot S3 beats these Motorola phones. Forget Realme1 Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 Redmi Note 5 Pro.

  14. This is extremely overpriced. I think these models will fail. Only Motorola fanboys would get something like this.
Motorrola phones never get updates and also there is absolutely no features in their OS.

    1. There are very little Moto fanboys in India. Even Samsung is losing their Fanboys daily in large numbers.

  17. Why are they not launching G6 plus model? The one that are launched today will have tough time selling as we have better options from Asus and real me1.

    1. Highly Overpriced. Not at all recomended. Go for Realme1 Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 Redmi Note 5 Pro Redmi Note 5 Redmi 5 Honor 7X Honor 7C Honor 7A Honor 9 Lite or Infinix Hot S3. All these phones are much better value for money phones than so called Samsung J6 and Moto G6 phones which are highly overpriced and poor in specifications. Please avoid Moto and Samsung phones as they are highly Overpriced and low in configuration.

    2. For Stock Android best value for money phones are Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 Tenor G Tenor E Smartron Tran X.

  19. Very overpriced and no updates forever my moto g5s still didn’t received oreo update where as my cousin nokia 5 received oreo update, absolute waste of moto, lenovo slowly ruining moto better go for redmi note 5 or 5 pro even vivo is better than these scrapy motos

    1. Moto clarifies that, we should not expect monthly security updates and only one major android update will be given.

  20. Hi Gogi,

In header and first paragraph, you mentioned as G6 Plus instead of G6 Play.

  21. Overpriced Moto.
Bit of off topic here, but I am seeking a replacement to my damaged mi Max 1. I am used to the large screen of mi Max, so anything less than 6″ screen is a no go for me. I was confused amongst
    1) Mi Max 2
    2) Redmi note 5
    3) Asus zenfone Max pro M1
Big screen with big battery is my primary requirement. I was also thinking of Mi Max 3, yet to be released. But don’t know when will it be available in India.
So what do you suggest? Which one should I go for. I am not in an extreme hurry, and maybe could wait for a month at the most.
    Plz help in this regard.
    Thanks

    1. Asus will be better and rn5 pro too also Nokia x6 will be launching soon so you can wait for it

      1. Don’t buy mobiles (or anything) from tatacliq i bought 2 different mobiles from them and i believe both of them were refurbished.

    2. Asus max pro m1 would be an excellent choice. Plus it’s running stock 8.1 oreo

    3. I am using Mi max2 and its best in terms of battery life and screen real estate…along with good performance….but Camera is not the best. These days Mi max2 mostly remains out of stock and Mi max3 should arrive in 2-3 months time. So better to wait for mi max3 or go for Redmi note 5 pro.

      1. Ya using Mi max 2 for the last 6 months.
        full paisa wasool phone.
camera is very good in day light,
Also fine in perfect room light condition.
        struggles in low light.

    4. Go with asus, it gives 8-10 hours sot with heavy gaming and processor is also powerful. For light use I get massive 4 days backup. Fulfils your purposes.

        1. Buddy, send me email, I will forward all screenshots I have taken of the battery stats if you dont believe

    5. Just wait a little and Moto g6 plus will be released. The plus point of Moto is better low light performance. If camera is not that important just go for the Asus.

    6. Everything is good. Go for the model as per your budget. Consider note 5 and pro m1

    7. Mi max 2 has big battery but its too late to buy that now. From ur listed choices go for redmi note5 pro. Or wait for max3(not coming before august)

    8. Wait for king Mi 8 SE coming soon with Qualcomm latest flagship processor Snapdragon 710 Octacore with Kryo core and AI capability. Price around 18000-19000. Coming in July.
