Good news for those using the Moto G 2nd Generation handset. Motorola has rolled out Android 6.0 Marshmallow in India. This update has already been rolled out on both Moto G 2nd Gen 4G and 3G supported handsets.

The Moto G 2nd Gen when it was launched came with KitKat out of the box, and then it got the Lollipop update and now lucky enough to get the Marshmallow update. This is an OTA update of size around 465MB. You will get notification or you can check that manually.

If you have not yet got the update, wait for few days, you will get. Before updating makes sure to keep the battery levels at over 75%. If you have updated your Moto G 2nd Gen handset to Android 6.0, do leave your feedback below.

Moto G 2nd Gen getting marshmallow update

The Moto G 3rd Gen as well as the Moto G Turbo that was only available exclusively from Flipkart, can now be purchased from Amazon too. Moto G 3rd Gen with 16GB is priced at ₹10,999 and the Moto G Turbo Edition comes for ₹12,499.

  1. Manually checked software update and received software update notification. Updating the software now, the download size is 464.2 MB for G2.

  3. hi gogi, hw ru? today FK giving 500 rs off and 10% dis on sbi card on moto phones, my q is motog3 is better in terms of camera and software upgrade or i go with leeco 1s? plz reply my priorty is camera and software support

    1. Moto phones are better in terms of software upgraded camera falls in average to above average category. Motorola has send android 6.0 updates on Moto G 2nd Gen. So software will never be an issue. LeEco is new, they have mentioned they will provide updates but we will have to see.

  4. hi gogi, hw ru< gogi in terms of update which one is preffered moto g 3rd gen or leeco 1, also on camera front.wich one is slightly better, coz moto g also available in under 11k after dis on FK, on 11th n 12th feb, bro plz reply.

  5. Even Moto e 4G variant got Android 6.0. I was totally surprised. This phone was NOT in the Original list to get 6.0. I am thrilled. Thanks Moto.
