The A73 is another addition to the Micromax Superfone family. The A73 comes with a 650 MHz processor running gingerbread OS. This handset supports dual SIM, 3G and comes with dual cameras. You can make video calls on this phone.

The Superfone series started with a high end model the Superfone A85 and then came a lighter version the Micromax A78. The Superfone Lite A75 model almost similar to A73 comes with a 650 MHz processor with a better rear camera and a slightly larger touchscreen.

The Phone: This is a touchscreen phone with capacitive display and 3 dedicated button on the front side. The handset is 12 mm thick and comes with 256 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM with microSD support (max 32 GB).

Processor, OS and Display: This handset is decently powered by a 650 MHz processor and runs on the Android 2.3 OS a.k.a. Gingerbread. The capacitive touchscreen display is 3.5 inches supporting 262 K colours with 320 by 480 pixels resolution.

Camera: The Micromax A73 comes with a rear facing 2 MP camera and a front facing VGA camera. Other camera features are built in flash for assistance in low light conditions, night vision, digital zoom and multi shot support. The front camera can be used for video calls / chats.

Multimedia: This phone comes with pre-loaded media player which supports many video and audio formats. Plus the access to android market gives you an opportunity to explore many more media apps. For live music you can always switch on the built in FM radio.

Connectivity: You can use 2 SIM cards simultaneously with 3G support (I think only on one SIM). Other features are Wi-Fi, WAP, USB and Bluetooth 3.0.

Pre-loaded Apps: Facebook, TOI, Polaris Office Suit, Micromax App store, eBook and more.

Battery: The 1300 mAh Li-ion battery gives a talktime of about 5 hours on 3G and 4 hours on 2G network. The standby time is about 10 days.
