Xiaomi finally launched the Mix handset in India the Mi Mix 2. Here is the Mi Mix 2 review to give you an overview of how the handset performed, design, features, camera quality and battery life. Mix 2 is unique, extra ordinary and comes with a good price tag.

Mi Mix 2 is one such premium smartphone that will silence the critics who always complain about the design – this phone looks like that, that phone looks like this, same design, need something new, blah, blah. Mi Mix 2 is designed by Xiaomi and this handset looks awesome, Xiaomi has indeed created a new design pattern for the world to follow.

Mi Mix is a perfect blend,  it has got that enchanting look, will grab attention and inside its a Beast – very powerful processor, gives a really smooth experience. I have never enjoyed MIUI as much as I did on the Mix 2, buttery smooth and probably it was the design and the screen that further enhanced the overall experience.

Mi Mix 2 review

The screen is stretched up, right to the top, you get a 18:9 aspect ratio and even with a 5.9 inch screen the handset size is similar to smartphone with 5.5 inch screen. Front camera has been moved down and some new technologies have been incorporated as per the design requirements like – Ultrasonic Magnetic Sensor, Chip on film to reduce chin size and all new guided earpiece design.

Mi Mix 2 12Mp camera

The Mi Mix 2 camera quality is above average. This is good to share on social networks and looks great even on a PC screen. The camera app comes with some camera frame option wherein you can change the aspect ratio – this means you can shoot a still image in 4:3, 16:9 or 18:9 aspect ratio. The shots in 18:9 mode looks cool.

Selfie also looks good, this handset can shoot 4K videos at 30fps, and 720p slow mo at 120 fps. Do check the sample images and do check the review video. The OIS is not that great for big movements like walking and recording videos.

Camera Rating : 4.1 out of 5
