Meizu has launched the Meizu M5s smartphone in China. This new handset is powered by MediaTek octa core processor, supports 4G with VoLTE and houses a 3000 mAh fast charging battery. M5s price in China starts from RMB 799 (approx Rs. 7700).

Meizu M5s sails on FlyMe OS version 6.0 based on Android Marshmallow. This handset is powered by 1.3GHz MediaTek octa core processor (MT6753), it is 64 bit hardware coupled with Mali T760 GPU. There is 3GB RAM and optional 16 or 32 GB of internal storage space, plus 128GB external micro SD card support.

This Meizu M5s handset (packed inside a metallic body) sports a 5.2 inch 2.5D curved screen supporting 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. Weight with battery is 143 grams and thickness is 8.4mm. The primary camera is a 13MP shooter using PDAF with f/2.2 aperture (Sony sensor) plus dual tone LED flash. Front camera comes with an f/2.0 aperture and can shoot in 5MP resolution.

It’s a dual SIM handset (Nano + Nano / Nano + MicroSD) that also supports 4G LTE, VoLTE, 3G, 2G, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The home button on the front also doubles up as finger print sensor using mTouch with response speed of 0.2 seconds.

Meizu M5s houses a 3000 mAh battery (fast charging supported). It will be available in China from 20th February in 3 color options – Gold, Silver, Gray and Rose Gold, price starts from 799 RMB for 16GB version and the 32GB version will cost RMB 999.
