LG had recently launched the Optimus L1 II a low budget single SIM handset that runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.1 with 512MB RAM. This handset is powered by single core processor and does support 3G. No word as to when this will reach the Indian market or the price in India.

There are several low cost handsets flooding the Indian markets and now big brands are also coming up with affordable handsets, though not that cheap, but at least they have realized the potential. Android 4.1 is the operating system used that works with 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage. There is 2MP fixed focus rear camera and even a front camera of VGA resolution is included for video chats. Other features are 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. There is a battery of decent 1540 mAh capacity.
