Lenovo has launched another handset with 1.3GHz quad core processor running Jelly Bean out of the box over a 5.3 inch screen. The specifications are good including the massive battery of 4000 mAh with amazing talk time of 43 hours (as claimed by the company), however it seems Lenovo has got the pricing wrong.

The Lenovo S860 houses the 1.3GHz MT6582 quad core chipset + Mali 400 MP2 GPU that we have already seen on many other handsets. The IPS screen is 5.3 inches with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. The good part is that the handset comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage.

Also included is a 8MP rear camera – it’s auto focus with LED support and 1.6MP FF camera on the front. Key features are 3G, 2G, WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth. The S860 runs on Android 4.2 and will get the KitKat 4.4 update. Handset weight is 190 grams and thickness is 10.3mm. OTG is supported. This is a dual SIM handset with dual standby mode.

Quad core Lenovo S860 with 4000 mAh battery

Well that’s not it the Lenovo S860 comes with a good battery of 4000 mAh capacity that as per the company gives up to 43 hours (wow) of talk-time. Everything looks good expect for the price. The S860 at Rs. 21,500 is just too much, there is the Gionee M2 with a massive battery but with some trimmed down features – still there is huge difference in the pricing. Also for 21,500 one can easily get an octa core.
