We knew about Lava Mobile’s intention of launching the Lava XOLO X900 well it is going to happen next week on April 19. Lava will launch the X900 with Intel Chipset. This handset will come at a premium cost running on android 2.3.

The Lava XOLO X900 also becomes the first android phone to feature the Intel Chipset. Lava Mobiles are well known for its low cost handsets and by launching the X900 they will be entering the high end segment. But will Indian consumers trust the Lava brand, only time will tell.

Lava XOLO X900 features

This lava handset comes with a powerful 1.6 GHz Medfield Z2460 processor with 1 GB RAM, coupled with 400 MHz GPU. This is powerful enough to run many HD games and no doubt the performance will be silky smooth.  Though the 2.3 android OS is not much of an attraction, probably it could be upgraded to ICS a.k.a. android 4.0.

Even though this handset carries the Lava brand do not expect it to carry a low price tag, in fact this handset is priced at Rs. 22,000 and falls in the premium segment and just in case you are not comfortable with the Lava name, you should still go for it, if price is not a problem because it is with Intel inside.
