Lava Mobiles had already announced that the Lava Iris X1 Grand and the Lava Iris Fuel 50 will get the lollipop update. The Iris X1 Grand already started receiving updates in mid March and now Lollipop has been rolled out on the Iris Fuel 50.
If you are using the Lava Iris Fuel 50 you might have already got the update notification, in case if you have not got the notification, you can manually check the same from software update (about, phone, software update). It might take some time of some users to get the update. Just like the other updates this will also be an OTA (over the air) update.
Make sure the battery percent is over 70 and if possible take a backup of your data. Most likely your data will be intact, but better to have a backup. After the update make sure to update the apps that you installed (in case there is any update available), so as they do not cause any issue with the new OS. In case you face any major issues try a factory reset, that should clean up the system and in most cases would solve the issue you might be facing.
The Lava Iris Fuel 50 is powered by MediaTek 1.3GHz quad core processor. It gets power from a massive 3000 mAh battery. Screen is 5 inches supporting FWVGA resolution. There is 1GB RAM, 8GB storage and 32GB external card support. An 8MP AF camera is packed on the rear and a 2MP on the front.
If you are using the Iris Fuel 50 handset and have already upgraded to Android 5.0 Lollipop, do leave your feedback in the comments section below.
