iVOOMi had launched the i1s and now they re-launched the handset and called it the iVOOMi i1s Anniversary Edition. This handset is using the same hardware, features are same and so is the price. However this handset does come with face unlock feature.

The iVOOMi i1s Anniversary Edition looks good, packed with a decent hardware (MediaTek quad core powered). Apart from the finger print sensor this Anniversary Edition also comes with face unlock feature that makes use of the front 8MP camera.

Overall performance was good, not for gaming users as game play was no good, clearly lagging. Camera quality is average, there are dual cameras on the back but they do not work like the dual cameras should.

iVOOMi i1s Anniversary Edition quality

iVOOMi i1s Anniversary Edition Gaming Review

The Asphalt 8 game was barely playable, even in very low visual quality mode. The lag was clearly visible. This handset is not for gaming users.

iVOOMi i1s Anniversary Edition Camera  Review

Rear Camera : 13MP + 2MP, auto focus, LED flash
Front Camera : 8MP
Video Recording : HD resolution

Though this handset comes with dual cameras on the back, there is no option to shoot images with bokeh effects. The camera however in normal mode does a pretty good job. Day light shots turned out pretty impressive, but night shots / low light shots are not that great. So in all the camera quality is average.

Selfie turned out good and the handset can record HD videos and that too was decent enough.

Camera Rating : 3.7 out of 5

Other features

Sound is very loud and clear. Reliance Jio SIM worked. Finger Print sensor on the back is really slow. Face unlock works great but at times takes a lot of time also in general face unlock process is really slow.

 9 minutes / 2% / 32 degrees
Asphalt 8 game play : 29 minutes / 9% / 39 degrees

Verdict

This is the same handset and performance is also the same as seen on the iVOOMi i1s. The UI is impressive and the face unlock that is the key attraction is okay, works but really slow. If you are looking for 18:9 screen with face unlock for a budget price, this is a good option, however the hardware is not that fast, might lag with heavy use.
