iVOOMi today launched their first fitness band the iVOOMi FitMe. This fitness band will keep track of your fitness activities and also comes with a unique Pollution tracking option. This product is available in India for Rs. 1,999.
iVOOMi FitMe houses a 90 mah battery that takes one to one and a half hour for a full charge and will deliver 3 to 5 days of battery life (depending on your usage). Inside the box you will get the fitness tracker, user manual and warranty card.
The tracker is made of plastic whereas the strap is made of silicon material. Build and finishing is good. The screen is 0.87 inches with 128 x 32 pixels resolution, screen is not visible under direct sunlight. There is Air Quality Index (AQI) option on the band that will show you the Air quality score for your location. Now this will only update when you connect the band with the app, as the data is updated via the app (you need net connection on your phone).
The iVOOMi FitMe tracker comes with a USB plug that you can simply insert into the computer or travel adapter for charging. This device is powered by Nordic nRF52832 CPU and makes use of Bluetooth 4.2. It works with Android and iOS platforms.
You need to download the FitMe app. This fitness band is IP67 certified (up to 30 minutes, under water). You will also get notifications from selected apps and also for calls. When you get a call you will get the call icon on the screen and the band will vibrate for few seconds. You will however need to use smartphone to receive / cancel calls.
In case you go out of your smartphone Bluetooth range the next time when you are in the Bluetooth range the band will auto connect. By default the band will track steps, calories burned, sleep, distance. For more accurate reading run the exercise mode on FitMe app. When using exercise mode on app, the GPS from the phone will be used and the band will continuously monitor heart rate during the whole exercise period. A good band but I think the price is a big high.
Do note that this band will always show time in 24 hours format there is no option to change to 12 hours format.
