Waiting for your next big phone update? The iQOO OriginOS 7 rollout now has an India timeline, with iQOO 15 first in line at the end of October 2026. The Android 17-based update will then reach selected number-series, Neo and Z-series phones in stages, with the announced schedule running through February 2027.

iQOO OriginOS 7 Update Release Date in India

In its announcement dated 14 October 2026, iQOO outlined five rollout windows for India. The schedule starts with the iQOO 15 and ends with the iQOO Z10x 5G. Each window identifies when the update is planned for a particular group of phones.

The company describes OriginOS 7 as an update focused on smoother interactions, AI-powered productivity and connected experiences. Along with the move to Android 17, it introduces interface changes and tools for notes, search, multitasking and sharing across compatible devices.

For existing owners, the model-by-model list is the useful starting point. Phones within the same product family do not all share one rollout window, so check the complete model name rather than just the series.

Here is the full OriginOS 7 India rollout timeline from iQOO’s supplied chart. These are the company’s announced rollout windows; they do not guarantee that every individual handset receives the update on the same day.

There is an important difference within the Z10 family: the iQOO Z10 5G and iQOO Z10R 5G appear in the January window, while the iQOO Z10x 5G is listed for the end of February. The chart covers these named models; it should not be used to draw conclusions about every unlisted phone.

OriginOS 7 Features: Smoother Animations and AI Tools

Fluid Motion and Spring Animation are the interface features highlighted in the release. In simple terms, these changes are intended to make everyday interactions feel more responsive. iQOO also says system optimisations will support smoother performance over time.

On the productivity side, Snap Note, AI Search and AI Recorder are the key names. iQOO says these tools help users organise notes, find information, and record or summarise conversations.

Origin Workbench, Office Kit and Device Sharing

Origin Workbench handles the multitasking side of the update. Multitasking means working with more than one task or app, making this the feature to look out for if you regularly switch between different tasks on your phone.

Office Kit and Shake & Share focus on working across compatible devices. Compatibility matters here: the release does not promise that these features will work with every computer, phone or app.

iQOO also mentions new personalisation and security features. The announcement does not detail these changes, so the main features outlined so far are the interface updates, AI tools, multitasking and compatible-device functions.

When Will Your iQOO Phone Get OriginOS 7?

iQOO says eligible users will receive a notification when the update is available for their device. The phased rollout means availability is spread across stages, so two owners with phones in the same announced window may not see the update at the same time.

Feature availability can vary by model, software version, region and app compatibility. Being on the update list therefore does not confirm that every advertised tool will be identical across all supported phones.

The rollout chart also excludes carrier-exclusive models, whose schedules will be determined by the respective carriers. For the listed India models, the table above is the announced timeline to follow, with the on-device notification confirming when an individual phone can receive the update.
