HTC Rhyme a new Android powered handset from HTC has yet to reach the Indian market but pre-orders have already started. The HTC Rhyme is a 3.7 inch touchscreen phone with a 5 Megapixel camera running on a 1 GHz processor with a price band of below Rs. 25,000.

The phone looks great with full screen touch display and four dedicated touch sensitive buttons. The Rhyme runs on the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS and uses the HTC Sense User Interface. If you are looking for a cheaper alternative check out the newly launched Micromax Superfone A85.

  • This is a single SIM android phone powered by 1 GHz Qualcomm Scorpion and Adreno 205 graphics processor for a smoother and faster performance.
  • The full touchscreen is 3.7 inches with supported resolution of 480 by 800 pixels.
  • There are 2 cameras a 5 MP back facing and a 0.3 MP front facing camera. HD videos can be recorded and decent pictures can be capture even in low light conditions thanks to the built in LED flash.
  • The HTC Rhyme comes with a 1 GB memory and 758 MB RAM. You can use microSD card up to 32 GB.
  • For connectivity the handset supports 3G (HSDPA; HSUPA), GPRS, EDGE, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi with hotspots, Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS for navigation.
  • This handset can play multiple audio and video formats including WMV, MP4 and MP3. If this is not enough you can switch on the built in FM radio for live music. Audio output could be via loudspeaker or through the 3.5mm audio jack.
  • Rhyme comes loaded with several sensors like ambient light, digital compass, accelerometer and proximity sensors.
  • This HTC smartphone can last for up to 340 hours in standby mode and 8 hours in talk-time over a 3G network with the 1600 mAh li-ion battery that it houses.
