  1. It would be interesting to get a Kirin 659 processor based Android One phone. That would probably give a better estimation of how good the chipset actually is.

At the moment, what would be value for money is a no compromise phone at 20 k with just Snapdragon 630 or even Snapdragon 625. All sensors(including compass and gyroscope), IR blaster, NFC and FM radio(which can be beamed to a bluetooth speaker in spite of having connected an earphone jack as antenna) 5000 mah battery with 18 w usb type c charging, 1080p 5.9 inch LED 18:9 display, 128 gb ROM, dual sim slots and a dedicated micro sd card slot, dual back cameras with a 16 mp 1.7 aperture main shooter and a telephoto secondary lens(to get the best low light photos + bokeh + lossless zoom) + secondary screen at the back to line up selfies so you can get great selfies as well as the hatke effect + stock Android with guaranteed updates for 2 years all in one package. That would be worth buying and hanging on to for 2 years. I hate how currently every sub-20 k phone comes with an irritating feature compromise.

      1. No I mean no compromise in features. Even at 11 k you can get Snapdragon 625. But even at 20 k, you stick to Snapdragon 625 but give all the features like LED screen, 5000 mah battery, fast charging, NFC, IR blaster etc which are available in different phones but NO PHONE HAS ALL FEATURES TOGETHER. Such a phone would be really worthwhile. Plus having a secondary screen at the back gives you a superior selfie experience plus a hatke feature that no other phone under 20 k has(plus you can further trim the top and bottom chin when no front camera is there)

    1. Great ideal balanced dream phone only missing OLED display. This may come true when there will assembled mobile concept like PC where customer has liberty to choose as per suitability.

  3. Honor 7x is almost same as 9i…mainly front camera is single compared to 9i which has dual front camera.
I guess the aperture size is F/1.8(not yet confirmed) which gives very good low light performance and that gives edge over redmi note 5 camera in low light performance. overall this is a very good phone but the GPU of HiSilicon Kirin 659 chipset is slightly weaker compared to SD 630 which redmi note5 is likely to have. This means 7X likely to win with its camera and redmi note5 will give better gaming performance with superior SD 630 chipset. At the end of the day redmi note may win with its price.

  4. Smartphone companies are launching so many models that instead of fighting competition they canibalise

  5. 32gb is @13k and 128 gb variant @ 20k for extra 64 gb they are taking 7k more which is disappointing

    1. How Come 128 (minus) 32 become 64gb and from when!!!
For 64gb you need to add again 64gb to get 128
      Not 64gb plus 32gb
,,, yup price wise you are correct,,
7k is more for same ram and higher variant just in rom

  6. Almost same as honor 9i. They may not launch this model here or they may launch it as Amazon exclusive while honor 9i will remain flipkart exclusive, just like samsung does it.

  7. What a disappointment, Apart from few design cues and reduced Front Camera and flash. I couldn’t find much of a difference between 7x and 9i. I was waiting for it. Now I need to wait for Redmi Note 5. or have to settle with m1a1 with age old 625 processor.

    1. Exactly there’s not even a single reason to upgrade from 6x to 7x…
Might have to wait for another year for Honor.

      1. Before commenting drink water nd have some time to Read to Honor 7x specifications. Its Major upgrade over 6x.you sud stuck with 6x till 2030 bro

        1. The problem in the camera of Honor 6x have not been sort out in 7x.
Even the sensor size is same … even the features are same . (Pro Video option is added though in 7x).
          Battery capacity is same.
Only upgraded feature is Display size.
Even the processor is not that an upgrade that we were hoping for.
I was expecting it to be better than Moto G5 Plus ….. or atleast Mi Ai …. or a minimum to minimum Cool play 6.
Except 18:9 display size … all these phones are better than 7X.
So , take rest . Drink water . Stay hydrated.

        2. And yes. I don’t even think of upgrading my Galaxy J7 to Honor 7X.
Except more sensors , I’m not getting anything extra in 7X.
Dual camera is just a gimmick, but it works quite excellently in Mi A1 and Cool Play 6.
Just a 2MP depth sensing camera won’t do justice to the Honor name.
I’m very much disappointed with this launch of 7x . I was hoping a good camera (with some video stabilization ) ….but.. this camera unit is same as last year’s Honor 6x.
Best single camera unit are Nubia z11 mini S and moto G5 Plus. NubiaZ11 Mini s scores in still photography , while Moto G5 Plus excels in Video Stabilization.
          Have a great day.

        3. It’s not an iphone to compare over the previous generation. In android the competition is more along the same slab. What you look for is value for money. Processor is the main concern. Anything releasing this part of the year should be competing with Snapdragon 630 series. I’m not sure Kirin 659 is enough.

  8. Disappointing!
The secondary depth sensing 2MP camera can’t match the today’s competition.
Well ,Companies k kuch zyada hi bhav nadh jaye hain .
No reason to upgrade from 6X to 7X .

      1. Camera unit is same as Honor 9i.
The photography by the single 16mp unit is above average while the bokeh shots are pathetic. Same problem with bokeh shots as it was with honor 6x.
So , a skip for me.

  9. Honor 7x is almost same as 9i…mainly front camera is single compared to 9i which has dual front camera.

      1. Which one is a better buy… 9i or honor 8 which is available at 14999.
Dual camera will be a miss… But better processor and better back camera.

          1. I am fine with single sim and single front camera.
I think in remaining department honor 8 is much ahead.

      2. Honor 7x confirm launch in India….. Expecting 11999 for 32gb version, & 64,128 optional….. Honor 9i sub 20k category…. Honor 7x is 15k category…. Competition to redmi note 5,samsung j7 2018,nokia 6,lenovo k note series, moto g plus series, coolpad play 6,mi a1,lg q6….
