Gionee today at an event in Andhra Pradesh in presence of Hon’ble CM Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, announced the manufacturing of Gionee devices in India. They have partnered with Foxconn and have started making in India.
The first smartphone that was made in India was presented to Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, it was the Gionee F103. The manufacturing plant is in SriCity. F103 is quad core powered (MediaTek MT6735) sporting a 5 inch HD screen (IPS Dragontrail display) and running Lollipop with 2GB RAM.
You can check the review of Gionee F103 here. This handset comes with 16GB storage. There is 8MP AF camera on rear with flash and a 5MP on the front. This dual SIM handset supports 4G LTE, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth and WiFi.
There is 2400 mAh removable battery and the handset is priced at ₹9,799.
Oneplus also started their manufacturing plant in SriCity, in partnership with Foxconn.
