Digimac Mobiles have launched the Digimax Exi handset that will be available within few days. The handset sports a 4 inch screen with FWVGA resolution. It runs on Android 4.0 with 512MB RAM, the pricing details are not yet know.

The Digimac Exi handset is pretty much outdated as of today, everyone is looking for a dual core handset running on the Android 4.2 OS. In fact the market is flooded with many options. The Exi model is powered by 1GHz cortex A9 processor (chipset unknown) with 4 inch IPS screen supporting 854×480 pixels resolution.

The dual SIM handset comes with 512MB RAM, 130MB free storage for apps and 32GB micro SD card support. In addition there an enhanced 5MP camera with flash placed on the rear and a front camera for video calling.

This is a low budget handset that does not support 3G. The handset does support 2G and comes with Wi-Fi. The spec on their site does not mention anything about Bluetooth and GPS.  Digimac is a new company based in Mumbai and has an office in South Korea. They also have very few service centers in Mumbai.

The specs are outdated. Consumers may buy if the price is set right, but being a new company in India with just a single product launched and with limited service centers (in Mumbai only) – will not go well with the consumers.
