Asus will soon expand their Zenfone range by launching an advanced photography centric smartphone called the Asus Zenfone Zoom. The Zoom as the name says will be using a 13MP camera with 3X optical zoom.
The official launch date has not yet been revealed but it is scheduled to hit the markets this month. Inside the hood the Zenfone Zoom houses a 64 bit Intel Atom quad core processor. Now there are two versions available one using Z3580 @ 2.3GHz and other is Z3590 @ 2.5GHz. Not sure yet which one will hit the Indian markets.
Asus Zenfone Zoom sports a 5.5 inch screen protected with Gorilla Glass 4 and supporting 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. Handset is running Android Lollipop 5.1 with 4GB on board RAM, optional 64/128GB storage and external SD card support of up to 128GB.
The Zoom weight is around 185 grams. A 13MP 10 element (HOYA Lens) camera is packed on the rear with 3X optical Zoom and up to 12X total zoom (optical + digital). It is using laser auto focus with OIS and also includes a dual tone LED flash. Front camera is a 5MP shooter.
Additional features are 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. This smartphone gets power from a 3000 mAh battery – supports BoostMaster super fast 3.6x accelerated charging. It will take up to 39 minutes to charge from 0% to 60%.
The Asus Zenfone Zoom coming soon, stay tuned.
adding to my comment, the SOC will be an upgraded one i.e it will be using Intel Atom Z3590 than the SOC used in Zenfone 2 which is Intel Atom Z3580.
the market price of this cameraphone will be 399 dollars, as said by company. So pricing in India will be around 25-26 thousand.
Any News about Pricing and availability in India?
It would have only Dual sim,4G support on 1 SIM slot only where as in 2nd sim slot only 2g support because of Intel processor so it’s sure waste of money, only camera lover’s may buy it.
Aray bhai dono Sim me 4G daal ke kya Achaar khaoge ?
1 data k liye aur
1 calling k liye.
@Sajid: No I only like option of data being enabled on both sim slots!
Will be expensive with these specs – well over 20 k and the Intel Atom Processor will drain the battery quickly. You can get a DSLR itself for 20 k. Or you can get a smartphone with a quality ARM7 processor which gives better battery life. Not sure whose particular needs this phone will suit.
There waz a previous samsung model with optical zoom.. sum 4 years back I guess.
I was waiting for this phone since January 2015, when i saw it in world phone conference.
A fingure print scanner would have been the icing on the cake.
Correct, I would not prefer spending 20k without fingerPrint.
Nice Handset but should be with A Xenin Flash…

Hahaha????
Bhai log galti se mistake ho gaya hai…
Maaf kar do.
