Acer Swift Blade 14 Weighs Just 799 Grams: New Laptop Takes Lightweight Design to Another Level

A full water bottle can weigh more than Acer’s latest laptop. The new Acer Swift Blade 14 weighs just 799 grams, making it extremely light for a full Windows laptop. Acer has announced the Swift Blade 14 along with its larger sibling, the Acer Swift Air 16.

Despite its low weight, the Swift Blade 14 still comes with a proper keyboard, battery, ports and powerful hardware. Acer has focused on making the laptop easier to carry without compromising too much on everyday performance.

For people who travel frequently or carry their laptop throughout the day, that 799-gram weight could be one of its biggest advantages.

Acer Swift Blade 14: The Numbers That Matter

The biggest attraction is clearly the weight, but Acer has also used premium materials to keep the laptop strong.

The Swift Blade 14 (model SFB14-53CF) uses a magnesium aluminium alloy frame along with carbon fiber panels.

These lightweight materials help Acer keep the laptop strong without making it heavy. The laptop is also only 12.9 mm thick, so it should easily fit inside a backpack or laptop bag.

Inside, the Swift Blade 14 uses Intel Core Series 3 processors, with configurations going up to the Intel Core 7 processor 350.

The hardware should be suitable for regular multitasking, office work, browsing, video calls and light photo or video editing. Acer has paired the processor with 12 GB LPDDR5 memory and storage options of up to 1 TB.

Another major highlight is the display. Acer offers the laptop with an optional 14-inch 3K OLED display covering up to 100 percent DCI-P3.

This should provide rich colours and make the laptop useful for watching videos, editing photos and other creative work. The display also has a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio, while the bezels are only 4.3 mm thin.

The laptop gets a 50 Wh battery and comes with three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C ports. Acer has clearly gone with a USB-C-focused setup to keep the laptop slim and lightweight.

There is also an FHD front camera with a physical shutter switch. Users can quickly cover the camera when it is not being used without changing any software settings.

Acer Swift Air 16: The Bigger, More Powerful Option

For users who prefer a larger display, Acer has also introduced the Swift Air 16.

It is heavier than the Swift Blade 14 but still relatively light for a 16-inch laptop. The Swift Air 16 weighs 1.5 kg and measures just 13.3 mm thick. Depending on the configuration, the model numbers are SFA16-I31T and SFA16-I31.

The laptop uses an all-aluminium chassis and comes in three colour options: Elemental Blue, Sage Green and Sandstone Gold.

It uses the same Intel Core Series 3 processor family, with configurations going up to the Intel Core 7 processor 350. Acer also mentions up to 40 platform TOPS along with a dedicated NPU.

TOPS means trillion operations per second. It is commonly used to measure AI processing performance. The NPU can handle AI-related features such as background blur, noise reduction and supported Windows AI features.

Acer is offering different display choices, including an OLED panel with 100 percent DCI-P3 coverage and an IPS touchscreen option with 100 percent sRGB coverage.

The resolution goes up to 2880 x 1800 pixels, while the OLED version supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. This should make scrolling, animations and supported content look smoother.

The Swift Air 16 gets a larger 70 Wh battery and supports 100W fast charging.

According to Acer, the battery can reach 50 percent charge in around 30 minutes using the bundled 100W adapter. This could be useful for travellers who need a quick battery top-up.

Audio is handled by a quad-speaker system with DTS Virtual:X support. The technology is designed to provide a wider and more immersive sound experience while watching movies, listening to music or playing games.

Connectivity includes dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, which can be used for high-speed data transfer, external displays and charging.

Price and India Availability

Acer says the Swift Blade 14 will be available in EMEA markets starting December 2026.

The Swift Air 16 is expected to arrive in North America during the first quarter of 2027, while EMEA availability is planned for December 2026.

Acer has not announced the exact pricing of either laptop yet. There is also no confirmed India launch date at the moment.
