Acer has announced the Acer Liquid S1 Smartphone that will sport a 5.7 inch screen with HD resolution and will be powered by MediaTek quad core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. They have mentioned 1.5GHz it means it will be the MT6589T (Turbo) chipset.

Samsung has launched the Mega 5.8 and the Mega 6.3 handsets and some more companies are following the same.  Acer Liquid S1 is one such handset with a big 5.7 inch screen with HD (720p) resolution. This handset will run on the Android 4.2 OS and will come with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. It will be a dual SIM handset with dual standby mode.

The full specifications are not yet known but since it is powered by MediaTek chipset clocked at 1.5GHz (probably with MT6589T chipset), we can expect the camera resolution of up to 13MP and the battery definitely has to be over 2500 mAh.  Other common features included are 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, 3.5mm jack and micro USB.

There is no word about when this handset will be launched in India or the price tag. Probably it could be priced over Rs. 20,000. Stay tuned for more.
