NXG Electronics launches Xtab A10 Plus with 1 GB RAM and HD screen

by Gogi Rana on June 12, 2012 · 9 comments

After the success of Xtab A10, NXG Electronics has launched another tab called the Xtab A10 Plus, an upgraded version of A10 with improved features and a slightly higher price tag at Rs. 7,990.

The specifications are almost similar with some minor improvements. The Xtab A10 plus comes with Allwinner CPU (Cortex A8) clocked at 1.5 GHz, this is what many manufactures say but benchmarking apps will show 1 GHz speed. What they mean by 1.5 GHz is the cumulative speed from CPU + GPU (Mali 400) + APU + VPU.

This tab runs on Android 4.0.3, comes with 8 GB internal storage and 1 GB DDR3 RAM. The screen size is 7 inches capacitive touch with improved resolution of 1024 x 600. The A10 Plus is 8.5 mm thin and weighs 480 grams.

This model does not come with built in 3G but just like the NXG A10, it supports external 3G (EVDO / WCDMA) dongles. Other features are Gyro Sensor, Wi-Fi, built-in mic and speakers, USB 2.0, microSD, mini HDMI port and 3.5 mm jack. The pre-installed media player supports MOV, DivX, DAT, MP4, MP3, WAV, MP2 and many other formats. There is one more surprise; the A10 Plus comes with dual cameras. A front 0.3 MP and a rear 2 MP camera without flash.

NXG claims that the A10 Plus battery can play videos for almost 8 hours on a single charge. The recent sold A10 lot has a lot of battery related issues and it came to the notice that the battery mAh inside was different from what they mentioned on the site (NXG has now corrected the mAh value on their site).

The New Xtab A10 plus looks good, performance wise it will be better than the A10 credit goes to the 1 GB memory that it houses.  The apps and games that worked on the A10 will also work on the plus version; in fact will look much better because of the higher screen resolution which no doubt is the plus point. If you love reading books it will be a pleasurable experience on the Xtab A10 plus.

Hi, I bought a Xtab A10 plus 6 months back and I am very much satisfied with product because it is not only small and handy but also performance is very good. 1 GB RAM is very good and give nice speed to tab.

Sir, NXG XTAB 3G (not the A10 one) is now coming at the same price tag. ie,9990 with 3d goggles+8gb card..This tab not only has 3G but also Bluetooth and GPS too GPS based Android apps are cool and don't want to miss on that Samsung S5PV210 Chipset is an additional bonus given that its GPU is better for games compared to the A10 models, only tradeoff with this model is the Basic screen resolution, 4GB ROM, 512MB DDR2 RAM Plus little bulky at 390g, RAM and Screen resolution is a major factor usually, I guess. But A10 models from iberry, veedee, wammy, NXG have no GPS and not as good a GPU, WHAT TO DO?

Can you please guide me on a decision to which 3G Sim based tablet, I can opt for. Please, have you worked on XTAB 3G, by chance.

Sarvotham, I have not seen the NXG Xtab 3G so really do not know about the performance. It does come with good specs but really not sure about the battery life. They have reduced the price, probably because of lower sales.

if 3G is not of concern. which do you recommend? nxg a10 plus of ax03g?

eventhough a10 plus doesnt suport 3g internally.. we can always use external 3g dongle… Im a guy who reads a lot.. I think resolution is what matters in case of quality..

Hi if you read a lot then go for a higher resolution and with IPS screen if possible.

How is nxg xtab a10 plus with 1024*600 hd ips screen at 7990/- compared to iberry auxus 3g with only 800*484 resolution at 9990(with 5% ebay coupon 9500)? Auxus has 24 gb storage+3g sim slot+bluetooth+scratch guard+pouch+capacitive stylus+4000 mah battery (3000 for nxg). I have purchased a10 plus and now regretting over my decision, though it has excellent screen, and runs smoothly. Do you suggest selling it for 7000/-(with 1000/-loss),and getting auxus 3g for 9500? Plz reply urgently

The difference between the two tab is that the Auxus is with 3G module. Screen is not that good it will be back to the entry level screen at 800×480 pixels. But its the 3G that makes it the best buy. The 24 GB storage is after counting the internal + assuming the microSD card of the max capacity that users will add. If you are looking for a 3G tab then Auxus 3G is the best option.
