ZTE have set their base in India and also launched some handsets and data card devices, unfortunately the handsets specs were pretty outdated and the price tag was not at all impressive.

There are some high spec models that one can view on the ZTE website and sadly none of those were launched in India, however ZTE is now planning to launch the ZTE Grand S in few weeks. Good news for those waiting for the same, the specs looks good, but the price is still unknown.

ZTE Grand S key features and specifications
This is a  single SIM handset with a 5 inch screen supporting 1920×1080 pixels resolution. The screen comes with Gorilla Glass protection. The handset runs on the Android 4.1 OS, probably it will get the 4.2 update too.

The Grand S is powered by quad core QUALCOMM APQ8064 + 9215M chipset clocked at 1.7GHz with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. There is a 13MP auto focus camera on the rear with flash and 2MP fixed focus on the front. Other features are 4G, 3G, Wi-Fi (a/b/g/n), Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS, dual MIC for noise reduction, micro USB port and 3.5mm audio jack.

The handset is just 6.9mm thick and is powered by a 1780 mAh battery. Stay tuned for the release dates and the price.
