The YU 6000 handset was in the news in Nov/Dec 2015 when it showed up on the GeekBench website. The YU 6000 could well be an upgraded version of Yuphoria. Now 10,000 units of YU 6000 were imported into India on 11th and 16th March 2016.

As per the Zauba data YU brand smartphone model no. YU6000 dual SIM with 4G support were imported. 5000 units on 11th March 2016 and 5000 units on 16th March 2016. The per unit price is around ₹9,369.

This probably could be upgraded version of Yuphoria and may carry a price tag of under ₹13,000. And since 10K units have already been imported, we might see YU announcing their new handset pretty soon.

As per GeekBench site that recorded the YU Yuphoria YU 6000 specifications, this handset may come loaded with 3GB RAM, 16GB storage and micro SD card support. Screen is 4.6 inches (in most cases the benchmarks apps get the screen size wrong) supporting full HD (1080p) resolution.

YU6000 is powered by 64 Bit octa core processor clocked at 1.5GHz (probably MediaTek MT6753) with Mali T720 GPU. It’s dual SIM with 4G LTE support, 13MP primary camera, 8MP secondary camera and handset houses a 2230 mAh Li-ion battery.

YU model YU6000 could be priced at under ₹13,000. We will have to wait and see if this is the next from YU.
