XOLO Mobiles has silently launched a quad core powered smartphone the XOLO Q1001 for Rs. 6,199. This dual SIM handset is using the MediaTek chipset running Android KitKat over a 5 inch screen with FWVGA resolution.

The XOLO Q1001 is listed on XOLO’s official website. This handset is 9.5mm thick and houses the popular MediaTek MT6582M quad core chipset (cortex A7) clocked at 1.3GHz with Mali 400 MP2 GPU. The capacitive IPS touch screen is 5 inches supporting 854 x 480 pixels resolution. There are 3 sensors accelerometer, light and proximity.

Q1001 comes with 5MP camera on the rear with LED flash support. The rear 5MP camera is a fixed focus camera. There is a front facing camera of VGA resolution. Handset can shoot and play FHD videos. KitKat 4.4.2 runs out of the box with 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage. There is micro SD card slot too.

Key features are 3G, 2G, GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The 2000mAh battery can be fully (wall) charged within 3 hours and on a full charge the handset gives talk time of up to 12 hours on 3G networks.
