Along with the XOLO 8X 1000, XOLO’s official website has also listed the XOLO Play 8X 1200 handset with a price tag of Rs. 19,999. The 8X-1200 is powered by 2GHz octa core processor with 700 MHz clocked GPU.
With compared with the 8X-1000 the 8X-1200 is more powerful. It is using the MT6592T octa core chipset from MediaTek with Mali 450 GPU clocked at 700MHz. It is also a dual SIM handset with a 9.7mm thickness.
It runs android 4.4.2 (KitKat) over a OGS screen of 5 inches with FHD resolution (1920 x 1080p). This handset comes with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. There is no micro SD card slot. XOLO Play 8X-1200 also comes packed with dual cameras. There is 13MP rear AF camera with PureCel Sensor plus dual LED flash and 5MP front camera with BSI sensor. FHD video recording and playback is supported.
This one comes with good number of sensors – accelerometer, gyro, magnetic, proximity, light and hall sensor. Key features are 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4 and GPS. The 2300 mAh battery gives talk time of up to 11 hours and can be charged in about 3 hours.
It is not mentioned on their site if the 8X-1200 is running the HIVE. But I don’t think they will have an issue implementing it. The XOLO Play 8X-1200 is priced at Rs. 19,999 and will hit the stores soon. Price wise the Alcatel Onetouch Idol X+ still wins.
