Xiaomi Next Flagship model probably the Mi5 will be unveiled on 15th Jan 2015

A post on Xiaomi’s official forum mentions about the next flagship product probably the Mi5, it will be released on January 15, 2015. The company recently announced the Redmi 2 and now get ready for another surprise, the next flagship.

The Mi5 handset images have also been leaked, phonearena reports that the handset is 5.1 mm thick and will sport a 5.5 or 5.7 inch screen. The Mi5 probably will be powered by snapdragon processor (let’s see what chipset the company will be using, most likely the snapdragon 805).

As per rumors the Xiaomi Mi5 will be sporting a Quad HD i.e. 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. It will support 4G, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. There will be 3GB on board RAM. Rear camera will be of 20.7MP resolution using SONY EXMOR sensors.

Xiaomi Mi5 launch date

Let’s wait and watch, what Xiaomi unveiled on 15th January in China. Xiaomi had made the Mi3 available in India, the Mi4 has already been launched in China and now it is the turn of the next flagship model. I don’t think Xiaomi will launch Mi5 in India directly, sidelining the Mi4.

Product Launch time (Beijing Time) 14:00 on 15 Jan, 2015.
