An official tweet from Xiaomi talks about something big coming on 30th June 2016. Big = Max, well that could be it – the Xiaomi Mi Max. Mi Max was launched in China in the month of May for RMB 1499 (approx Rs. 15K).
Xiaomi Mi Max comes in two variants with snapdragon 650 hexa core and with 652 octa core. It’s a big handset a Phablet that sports a 6.4 inch screen with 2.5D curved glass supporting 1920 x 1080p resolution.
MIUI 8 over Marshmallow sails with 3GB on board RAM and optional 32GB/64GB storage, other option is with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. There is micro SD card slot too (dual SIM Hybrid). On the back there is a 16MP primary camera with flash and on the front you will find a 5MP fixed focus camera.
Key features are Finger print sensor, IR, 4G LTE VoLTE, 3G, 2G, GPS, WiFi (dual band) and BT 4.2. A 4850 mAh battery powers up this handset (handset weight is 203 grams).
Xiaomi Mi Max most probably will be unveiled on 30th June 2016, hopefully with a price if under Rs. 15K.
