Viltrox 35mm F1.4 Pro Price and Mount Options
Viltrox has announced two native-mount versions. Both carry the same stated MSRP: US$829, €859 or £739, depending on the market. These are overseas prices, not confirmed Indian retail prices.
| Lens | Camera mount | Announced MSRP |
|---|---|---|
| Viltrox AF 35mm F1.4 Pro FE | Sony E, full-frame coverage | US$829 / €859 / £739 |
| Viltrox AF 35mm F1.4 Pro Z | Nikon Z, full-frame coverage | US$829 / €859 / £739 |
F1.4 Optics and 0.3m Close Focus

The optical design uses 16 elements in 11 groups, including two ultra-precision aspherical elements, three ED elements and four high-refractive-index elements. Viltrox says this combination controls colour fringing and distortion while keeping detail across the frame, including at F1.4. These are the company’s optical-performance claims, not hands-on test results.
A 35mm focal length suits street scenes, everyday photography and portraits that retain some background context. The F1.4 aperture gives more scope for shooting in low light and separating the subject from its surroundings. An 11-blade diaphragm is designed to keep out-of-focus highlights rounded.
The 0.3m minimum focusing distance allows closer compositions, although the release does not specify a maximum magnification ratio. It should not be treated as a dedicated macro lens on the basis of focusing distance alone.
HyperVCM Autofocus and Weather Sealing

The HyperVCM voice-coil autofocus system is designed for quick, quiet focusing in photos and video. Viltrox also claims reduced focus breathing, helping limit changes in framing during focus pulls. Face and eye tracking depend on the connected camera and its supported functions.
The body uses rubber seals to resist dust, splashes and moisture, while the front element has a water- and smudge-resistant coating. That is weather resistance, not a claim that the lens is waterproof. The matte-black finish is intended to resist wear during regular use.
The new lens joins Viltrox’s 50mm and 85mm F1.4 Pro models, completing a three-lens full-frame prime range. It is a different proposition from the compact Viltrox AF 26mm F2.8 EVO, which prioritises a smaller everyday kit.
India Availability and Related Lens
An India price and local sale date have not been announced in this release. Sony FE and Nikon Z buyers should choose the native version for their camera system; the two mounts are not interchangeable.
For a separate full-frame Sony E-mount alternative, check out the Sony FE 35mm F1.8 (SEL35F18F). It has the same focal length but a smaller F1.8 maximum aperture, and is not the new Viltrox lens.
