Swipe telecom has launched the Swipe Sonic handset that comes powered by a dual core processor with dual SIM support – GSM + CDMA with EVDO technology. This handset is priced at Rs. 7,399.

There are quite a few handsets/tablets running on Android OS  with CDMA support available in the market. There is the Micromax Canvas Blaze MT500, the Micromax Canvas P650E tablet and Micromax Canvas Duet II EG111.

The Swipe Sonic is already listed on the Swipe Telecom official website. On the hardware front it is dual SIM CDMA (EVDO) + GSM and sports a 4 inch capacitive touchscreen with 800 x 480 pixels resolution.

Sonic is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon dual core processor (8625) clocked at 1.2GHz with I guess Adreno 203 GPU. Handset sails on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean OS) with 512MB RAM. There is micro SD card support and probably 4GB internal storage (needs confirmation).
