Sony will launch the Sony Xperia Z1 a quad core handset clocked at 2.2 GHz with 2GB RAM, Full HD resolution over a 5 inch screen. The Z1 will also come with a 20 MP camera (Sony G lens). This handset will be launched in September 2013.

The Sony Xperia Z1 could probably come loaded with quad core Snapdragon 800 Chipset @ 2.2GHz. The Z1 is an upgraded version of Xperia Z handset and of course it’s waterproof just like its predecessor. The 5 inch screen supports 1080p resolution and incorporates the Triluminos technology. With Triluminos display you can experience true colors with natural shades just like in real world.

Another highlight is the 20 megapixel camera placed on the rear side that can shoot 4K videos thanks to the Sony BIONZ image processing engine that makes it possible. The Sony Xperia Z1 can proudly claim to be the first handset to support 4K videos.

The Z1 comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage and does support external SD card via the Micro SD slot. This handset runs on the Jelly Bean 4.2 OS and gets power from a 3000 mAh battery. The detail specs and the price will be unveiled soon. The expected price could be well over Rs. 45,000.
