Sony SmartBand SWR10 wearable device coming soon

Sony will soon launch the Sony SmartBand Wearable device. They same has already been listed on their official website. The SmartBand SWR10 weighs just 21 grams, it’s water proof and runs on Android 4.4.

The Sony SmartBand is powered by Cortex-Mo 32 bit ARM processor with 256kb embedded internal flash memory and 16kb RAM. You can use the device 24/7. It will monitor physical activities (running, walking) and even your sleep activities. It is IP58 certified (water and dust resistant).

The SmartBand can be paired with any device running on Android 4.3 and above. This wearable device will be available in Purple, White and Black color options. There is a on/off key, LED indicator and vibrator mode. Other features are NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and standard USB for charging.

The Band houses 35mAh Li-po battery that can be fully charged in less than an hour and typical usage is up to 5 days. The SmartBand core houses advanced sensors that can feel your movements and transfers data to your smartphone.

There is an interesting feature – the Smart Alarm that will wake you up based on your sleeping cycle via gentle vibration. When you get a call or message the device will vibrate. You can even use it to control the media. It counts the calories you have burned it knows when you are walking, running, cycling etc. Then there is the Life Bookmark button that will record the current moment (for example the location, pictures taken via you phone etc..).
