Snapchat calling India Poor, uninstall effect and damage control

A US based website had quoted that Anthony Pompliano an ex-employee in September 2015 told that the Snapchat is only for rich people and they do not want to expand into poor countries like Spain and India.

If one checks the statement it was made in 2015, next question why are we talking about this in 2017? Also the statement was made by Anthony Pompliano and ex-employee, an ex. Well in 2017 a lot had changed and India is one of the fastest growing economy.

Indian users uninstalling Snapchat

After hearing the statement that was made in 2015, Indian users are now angry in 2017, they started uninstalling the Snapchat app, also giving bad rating to the app on Google Play / Apple store. Those who were not using Snapchat, ended up uninstalling Snapdeal, yes Snapdeal.

I am not a Snapchat user but what do you think was this done with enmity or for publicity? A 2015 statement in 2017.

Snapchat as denied the claims made by Anthony Pompliano saying the disgruntled employee was fired for poor performance.
