At an event in Delhi, today Samsung Mobiles launched the Gear S2 Smartwatch. The S2 will be available in two variants the Samsung Gear S2 for ₹24,300 and the Samsung Gear S2 Classic for ₹25,800.

Specifications are same for both these models, and the only difference is that the S2 has got a simple look available in Black and white colour options whereas the S2 Classic comes with a leather strap and matching case for that classy look.

Inside the hood these smartwatches are powered by Exynos 3250 dual core processor clocked at 1GHz. It is running Tizen OS with 512MB RAM and 4Gigs of internal storage. The Gear S2 is IP67 certified (dust / water resistant).

S2 sports a 1.2 inch screen (circular dial) – it’s an AMOLED screen supporting 360 x 360 pixels resolution. Other features are WiFi, NFC and Bluetooth 4.1. There are following sensors accelerometer, light, gyro, barometer and heart rate.

A 250mAh battery (Li-ion) powers up this Smartwatch – wireless charging is supported.

What makes the Gear S2 unique is the new style of navigation – simply turn the bezel.

Samsung Gear S2 and S2 Classic will be available in retail stores and exclusively on Flipkart for ₹24,300 and ₹25,800 respectively.
