Samsung Galaxy A8 announced in China

Samsung Mobiles announced the A8 smartphone in China. The Samsung Galaxy A8 is just 5.9mm thick and is powered by snapdragon 615 octa core processor. This handset sports a 5.7 inch screen and also comes with a fingerprint scanner.

Galaxy A8 was officially announced, however the price has not yet been disclosed. The A8 as mentioned is using the well known qualcomm snapdragon 615 cortex A53 64 bit octa core processor with Adreno 405 GPU.

It is running Android 5.1 out of the box with 2GB RAM and optional 16 / 32 GB of internal storage space. There is micro SD card support of up to 128GB. This smartphone sports a 5.7 inch super AMOLED screen with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution.

The rear camera is of 16MP resolution with flash support and the front camera is 5MP resolution. Rear camera is with f/1.9 aperture. Weight with battery is 151 grams. Key features are 4G, 3G, 2G, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi, finger print scanner (home button) and GPS with GLONASS.

The Galaxy A8 gets power from a 3050 mAh battery. Samsung has yet to reveal the price and announce its global launch.
