Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 Launched in India at ₹44,300, Ray-Ban Meta Audio Also Unveiled

Smart glasses are getting more useful, and Meta has now introduced its latest generation in India. The new Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 can play music, handle calls, capture photos and videos, and even use Meta AI to answer questions while you are on the move.

Meta introduced the new glasses during Meta Connect 2026, along with another interesting product the Ray-Ban Meta Audio, Meta’s first AI glasses without a camera.

For Indian buyers, the big news is that the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 price in India starts at ₹44,300. Sales started in India on the same day as the global launch. The Ray-Ban Meta Audio, meanwhile, will begin shipping globally from October 13.

Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 Price in India and Availability

The Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 starts at ₹44,300 in India. This makes it ₹4,400 more expensive than the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2, which launched at ₹39,900.

In the US, Gen 3 starts at $449, while Gen 2 is priced at $379.

Indian sales started on September 24, 2026, through Ray-Ban.com and selected optical stores.

What Is New in Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3?

The basic idea remains familiar. You get a regular-looking Ray-Ban frame with a camera, microphones, open-ear speakers and Meta AI built inside.

The Gen 3 improvements mainly focus on comfort, battery life, voice pickup and easier controls.

Slimmer Frame and New Action Button

Meta has made the frame slimmer, which should make it more comfortable during long hours of use.

There is also a new customisable action button. It works like a shortcut button and can provide quick access to Meta AI or another assigned function.

Meta has also introduced professionally adjustable temple tips.

The temple tips are the ends of the glasses that sit behind your ears. An optician can adjust them according to your head shape, helping the glasses fit better without feeling too tight.

Up to 9 Hours of Battery Life

The Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 offers up to nine hours of battery life on one charge.

Gen 2 offered up to eight hours, so the improvement is not huge, but that extra hour can still be useful if you wear the glasses throughout the day for music, calls and occasional camera use.

Six Microphones for Better Voice Pickup

Gen 3 now uses a six-microphone array.

Instead of relying on just one microphone, several microphones listen at the same time and help separate your voice from unwanted surrounding sound.

Meta claims the new setup can reduce more than 90% of background noise.

That should be particularly useful while taking calls outdoors, walking through busy streets or using voice commands in windy conditions.

12MP Camera and 3K Video Recording

The glasses include a 12MP camera capable of shooting 3K Ultra HD video.

Another new feature is called Dynamic Photos.

Instead of taking just one frame, the glasses capture a short sequence, allowing you to choose a better shot afterwards. It could help when someone blinks or when the first photo does not come out quite right.

A visible LED continues to light up whenever the camera is recording, letting people nearby know that recording is active.

Dolby Atmos Video Recording Is Coming

Meta says its AI glasses will also support Dolby Atmos video recording later this year.

Dolby Atmos creates a more spatial sound experience rather than limiting audio to simple left and right channels.

For example, if a sound is coming from behind you while recording, playback on a compatible device can make that sound feel like it is actually positioned behind the viewer.

The processing happens automatically while recording.

Interestingly, the camera specifications look similar to Gen 2 on paper. Most of the Gen 3 improvements are focused on comfort, battery life, microphones and controls rather than a major camera upgrade.

Not everyone is comfortable around glasses fitted with a camera.

Camera-equipped glasses can also become awkward in places such as offices, gyms, hospitals, classrooms and other areas where recording may not be appropriate.

By removing the camera completely, the Ray-Ban Meta Audio can be worn in many situations where camera glasses might make people uncomfortable.

New Clubmaster and Burbank Designs

Ray-Ban Meta Audio will be available in 23 colour and lens combinations.

There are two main styles.

Clubmaster has the familiar retro appearance with a thicker upper frame.

Burbank uses a cleaner rectangular design.

Both styles support a wide range of prescription lenses.

Meta has also added several fit-adjustment options, including professionally adjustable temple tips, replaceable or adjustable nose pads and overextension hinges.

The Aviator Connect Limited Edition celebrates the 90th anniversary of the Ray-Ban Aviator.

It comes in a Milky Beige finish with brown Transitions lenses and starts at $579.

Transitions lenses automatically react to light. They stay clearer indoors and become darker when exposed to sunlight.

Meta Glasses by Kylie Jenner in Ivory

Meta also announced a new Ivory colour option for Kylie Jenner’s Starfire glasses.

A new collection created with BLACKPINK star LISA has also been introduced.

The Meta Adventurer LISA Edition uses a Moonlit Sky frame with Blush lenses.

The Meta Capri LISA Edition comes with an Eclipse cat-eye frame and grey lenses.

The glasses also include small star-inspired design elements, case charms inspired by LISA’s pets and digital photocards that buyers can unlock.

Meta Adventurer Black

The Meta Adventurer in Black is the most affordable Meta Glasses model announced so far.

It combines a black frame with grey lenses and comes with a plug-in case.

Pricing starts at $249, with sales beginning on October 23 in markets where Meta Glasses are available.

Meta Fury

The Meta Fury is a limited-edition model featuring a transparent frame with mirrored lenses.

Initially, it will only be available through Connect and Meta Lab stores.

Meta has also added two more styles called Capri and Nova.
