Philips has launched two new handsets in India the Philips Xenium I908 octa core powered for ₹11,799 and the Philips Xenium S309 dual core powered for ₹4,999. Both these handsets are running Android KitKat 4.4.x out of the box.

The Philips Xenium I908 is a dual SIM handset powered by 1.7GHz octa core processor (unknown chipset most likely MediaTek). This smartphone sports a 5 inch IPS screen supporting 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution.

There is 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and 32GB micro SD card support. The handset also comes packed with a 13MP AF camera on the rear with flash and a 5MP 88 degree wide angle fixed focus camera on the front. Key features are 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. The Xenium I908 gets power from a 3000 mAh battery.

Philips Xenium I908 and Xenium S309

Philips Xenium S309 is using a 1GHz dual core processor (chipset unknown) running KitKat over a 4 inch screen with 800 x 480 pixels resolution. Screen is TFT and the handset comes loaded with 512MB RAM, 4GB storage and 32GB microSD card support.

Xenium S309 comes with 5MP camera on the rear with flash and a VGA camera on the front. Key features are 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. The S309 houses a 1600 mAh battery.
