OPPO has started pushing out its ColorOS 16 update for August, and this time the AI Remix Collage tool is not staying locked to the Reno16 Series. The rollout now covers a much wider set of Find and Reno phones.
It also brings a handful of security and home screen changes that make everyday use noticeably smoother.

What Is AI Remix Collage
For anyone unfamiliar with the term, AI Remix Collage is a photo tool built into the gallery app that turns your camera roll into ready made sticker sets, mood boards and collages. Instead of manually cropping and arranging photos, the phone’s AI handles the sorting.
The feature relies on Smart Cutout to pull subjects out of the background cleanly, plus customisable outline styles and layer controls so the final collage does not look like a generic template. It works directly inside the existing Photos app, so there is no separate download needed.

ColorOS 16 users on any of these phones should see a system notification once the update is ready for their unit. If it has not shown up yet, checking manually through Settings, then Software Update, usually speeds things up.
Smarter Security With Real Time Alerts
Beyond the creative tools, this update focuses heavily on Phone Manager, OPPO’s built in security and maintenance app. It can now detect and block suspicious app activity in real time, covering malicious pop-ups, abnormal power drain and unusual attempts to control the device remotely.
Whenever Phone Manager stops one of these actions, it sends an alert immediately, so users know something was blocked rather than finding out after the fact.
The update also lets people customise which Phone Manager tools show up most often, cutting down on the taps needed to reach frequently used features.
Small Fixes That Make a Big Daily Difference
A two finger pinch out gesture on the Home Screen now clears every app notification badge in one motion, instead of tapping through each app individually. It is a small change, but one that anyone juggling dozens of apps will notice within the first day.
The Notes app also gains proper markup tools. Users can draw, highlight and annotate directly on images inside a note, which is genuinely useful for marking up screenshots or quickly explaining something visually without switching apps.
Storage Cleanup has been reorganised with clearer categories, and hidden apps are now easier to reach through floating windows rather than being buried several menus deep.
Currency Converter Widgets for Frequent Travellers
OPPO has added new 2×2 and 4×2 Currency Converter widgets that sit right on the Home Screen and show real time exchange rates.
For anyone who travels often, shops on international sites or just tracks expenses in multiple currencies, this removes the need to open a separate app every time.
